Hotel Seeks Art Proposals The Yorktowne Hotel Call for Proposals for arts-based projects is now available. Applicants are encouraged to consider the Yorktowne Hotel throughout its lifetime and its position as a community gathering place, as well as the historical integrity of the public spaces and the bridge into modern function and form. Applicants should also think of the spirit and the history of York as a place that people live, work,
and play. The art installations should reflect York’s past, present, and positive future throughout the space. Applicants should consider industrial arts and York County as place of agriculture and manufacturing and where things are created. Industrialists, ingenuity, engineering and craftsmanship define York County and the people who live here. This encompasses industrial materials
and ideas: electronics, programming, ergonomics, engineering, science, natural raw materials and philosophy. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28. Details on submitting are available by visiting www.ycea-pa.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Yorktowne-ArtistRFP_Final.pdf.
