Poem one: ways of looking at the moon A silver dish Newly cleaned in the daylight A shining ship Sailing through the night sky A disc of light Cutting through the pitch black of the night A man Protecting the world and watching over children Bringing wonder, hope, and dreams Page 4

Poem three: zorua: a poem from the viewpoint of a lost stuffed animal Hey, why am I here? Why haven't you fished me out like you do when I fall underneath the bed? Where are you going? Come back! You used to think I was The best stuffed animal in the world Better than any other stuffed animal I thought I was your favorite one The one you always used The big cheese But apparently not Since you left me here And I was replaced by that dragon Then once I thought I was on top again When you looked for me But you quickly gave up And I was forgotten again Page 6
Poem four: a poem about an annoying relative My "chĂĄu áťˆn" is a demon. She appears cute to all the adults but then she causes tons of trouble for me. She ruins all sorts of things but the adults never see. She seemed nice at first but then she showed her true colors. Every day I try to think of something new to get her caught. My mom always wants me to play with her but I try to do something nasty to her during that time instead It normally doesn't work. So I'm stuck with her. I try to keep her imprisoned somewhere Like you would do to a demon. Page 7
Poem five: a haiku on the subject of winter A frozen wasteland Filled with tons and tons of snow Lakes frozen over
