Welcome To An Insane World Where Everything's Backwards! The masses have been going into agreement with the construction of their own prison without knowing since time memorial. Sure, there's those hearing the alarm clock and waking up, but at present, we're living in a topsy-turvy insane world where everything's backwards. Here's my list to undoubtedly prove this. Education The backwards world starts in schools with our education system. It's designed so that young people fit into the system when it should really be the reverse: The system should fit into unique, creative young people...
H eeaall tthhccaa rree H Because of that unholy alliance between corrupt government and soulless greed-machine corporations we have a backwards healthcare system: Conventional medicine only deals with the symptoms of disease which means the patient's illness will keep coming back. The real solution is to treat the root cause of the illness but that would mean a cured customer: No more symptoms, no more illness, and no more repeat business revenue for big pharma and big government... - Here, by the way, is an analogy for this backwards approach con, just to highlight the insanity of it all. MONEY MANAGEMENT
THE ECONOMY IN THE U.S. TODAY How has it been that with all the billions of dollars per month that the Fed has injected into the money supply, how come the economy has not responded? Even though the Fed had tapered their money stimulus, the Fed's balance sheet has increased to over 4 trillion dollars up from a half of a trillion just a few years ago. So if the Fed has supplied the economy with essentially 4 trillion dollars, where is the money? Following the money trail the Fed prints the money out of thin air and then lends it to the U.S. Treasury. Then the U.S. Treasury supplies the banks with this money at close to zero interest rates. So at this point the Banks have the stimulus money. This money was put into cir-
culation to help the economy grow through lending for homes, business, etc. But most of the homes today were purchased with cash. Corporations are sitting on a record amount of cash. They have done this because they do not want to repatriate it and pay the tax on it. Loans are not being made because of lending policies. corporations are not needing the money for expansion. What they are borrowing money for is to fund their operations because they would rather pay a low-interest rate of about 3% than repatriate the money they have overseas and pay 40% in tax. So at the end of the day, the money that was printed to fuel the economy has not been used for its intention. The banks that have the stim-

ulus money have invested it. They are paying almost nothing in interest and in turn investing it aggressively. This will be dangerous for the taxpayer because these banks are too large to fail and if or when the stock bubble pops the U. S. government will have to bail them out to keep a banking system alive. However this time this bubble is so large that it may ruin the economy as a whole and as a result collapse the "system" including the dollar. If the banks are not going to use the money that was put into circulation for its intention. Then the U.S. government has a fiduciary responsibility to stop issuing bonds for the Fed to purchase. The system should realize that increasing the Fed's balance sheet that already has over 4 trillion dollars of treasury

notes has to stop. When is when? If the economy has not been stimulated after trillions of dollars of stimulus, more is not the solution. If the money stimulus is the answer, force the banks to lend it or if they will not, then they must send it back to the U.S. government so that they can repay the federal loans. Find out, after all of the trillions of dollars of economic stimulus that the Fed has injected, the reasons why the economy is still slow. Start to realize that the actions of the Fed has only inflated a bubble that ultimately will collapse the dollar if nothing is done.

Super Bowl Post-Mortem liant reply when he was asked why his Sooners didn’t pass the ball more often. “Three things can happen when you pass,” Switzer explained. “And two of them are bad.” Carroll knows this all too well now...
Enigma’s publishing schedule sometimes provides challenges when it comes to picking column fodder. We typically release the publication sometime late Wednesday or midday Thursday. If a major event transpires on the weekend… several days will have passed before you can read our views on it. That’s why we often write about events that are about to happen or tackle broad, less time-sensitive subjects in our editorials. Which doesn’t really explain why I’m writing about this past Sunday’s Super Bowl, despite the insane amount of coverage the game has already received… …Super Bowl XLIX drew a historic 114.5 million viewers and a whopping 49.7 overnight rating, the highest in SB history. Impressive. Here’s another interesting stat: New England’s 28-24 win over Seattle only featured a little over 12 minutes of actual football action, 12:06 to be exact. By comparison, the Super Bowl telecast included 1:00:29 in commercials. Advertisers paid a record $4.5 million for a 30second spot, an average of $150,000 per second. When those 12 minutes and change are the mostwatched minutes in television sports history, companies will pay ers… big bucks to try to sway those view-
…Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was a somewhat controversial pick as the game’s Most Valuable Player. Brady threw four touchdown passes to set a career Super Bowl record with 13 touchdown completions in his six games played, eclipsing Joe Montana’s mark of 11. The 37-year-old also set a Super Bowl passing record, completing 37-of-50 passes for 328 yards. The controversy? Brady also gave up two interceptions and New England was very lucky to win the game. To his credit, Brady knew just how lucky he was to be the game-winning quarterback and MVP. He kept the trophy, his third (tying him with Montana for the most MVP nods), but gave the pickup truck that came with the honor to Butler…
…I can’t write about Super Bowl XLIX without talking about what many are calling “the worst call in Super Bowl history.” The Seahawks faced second down and goal to go from the Patriots’ one-yard-line. There were 26 seconds left and the score was at its eventual final tally. Everyone expected Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch to power the ball in for a game-winning touchdown. But Hawks Coach Pete Carroll opted to attempt a quick slant-in pass. He later said he wanted to “waste a down” because he had two more downs and one remaining timeout. Instead, undrafted Pats rookie defensive back Malcolm Butler jumped in front of the receiver to pick off Russell Wilson’s pass and give New England its fourth Super Bowl title… ...I have watched that interception dozens of times now. It still doesn’t make sense to throw that ball on second and goal from the one. Barry Switzer, back when he was known for running a high-powered triple-option offense at the University of Oklahoma, had a bril-

…Butler’s game-saving pick quickly became the definitive highlight from the game. If Carroll hadn’t had his momentary lapse of reason and had opted to give Lynch three downs to get one yard, Wilson’s incredible 33-yard pass completion to Jermaine Kearse would have been SB XLIX’s highlight moment. Kearse fell to the ground, then kicked and tipped the football into the air. It hung above him as if on a string before the Seahawks receiver snatched it out of the air to put his team in prime scoring position. Two plays later, Butler jumped that ill-advised slant pass attempt. The rest is history… …I didn’t really have a “favorite” in this year’s Super Bowl. I don’t particularly like Carroll… or New England coach Bill Belichick. But the Patriots and Seahawks delivered a Super Bowl game that will be talked about for years to come. There might only have been a little over 12 minutes of action in the whole game, but one bad coaching decision and one darned good defensive read by an undrafted rookie helped XLIX establish itself as one of the most dramatic Super Bowls in history…

Dear Rocco, Why is my relationship on the rocks already? I started dating my boyfriend about two weeks ago and everything has already gone stale. When we first hooked up we would talk and text multiple times a day. He would tell me two or three times a day that he loved me. Now I’m having a hard time getting him to talk to me. We still talk maybe once or twice a day, but when I talk to him he says he’s really busy and I can hear him playing music really loud in the background. I asked him if something was wrong and he says everything is fine. Am I being childish? He’s not saying much now. I hate for things

HOUSTON (UPI) - UPS officials said they have fired a seasonal driver recorded by Houston security cameras throwing packages over a fence and urinating on the home. Ben Lucas said he checked his surveillance cameras after arriving home Jan. 8 to find his packages — .22 caliber ammunition, chemicals and a machine for cleaning gun parts — were on the inside of his locked fence and appeared to have been damaged. Lucas said the video, which he later posted to YouTube, showed the UPS driver
throw the packages over the locked fence before unzipping the fly of his pants and urinating on his home. “So basically I paid someone to come to my house and pee on it,” Lucas told KPRC-TV. Lucas said he posted the video to UPS’ Facebook page when officials seemed unwilling to watch it or give him an apology. He said the move led to a phone call from a UPS supervisor. “She was apologetic and wants to send me a ‘we’re sorry’ gift,” he told KHOU-TV. “That’s what I kind of wanted. I just wanted someone to say, ‘yeah he shouldn’t have done that we’ll try to make sure that doesn’t happen

again,’” Lucas said. UPS issued a statement saying the driver, a seasonal employee, was fired. “UPS was dismayed by actions that violated decency and delivery care. The local management team did take action to terminate the individual who was a seasonal delivery helper. However, they were wrong if they did not clarify this resolution with Mr. Lucas at the time. UPS sincerely apologizes to our customer. No behavior like this is acceptable.”

This falls into the category of ‘What were they thinking?’” Elliot then contacted Steve Kipp, Comcast’s vice president of communications in Washington, who said, “We have spoken with our customer and apologized for this completely unacceptable and inappropriate name change,” he said. “We have zero tolerance for this type of disrespectful behavior and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what happened. We are working with our customer to make this right and will take appropriate steps to prevent this from happening again.” “I’m a bit stunned by this” said Elliott. “Comcast is a big company. They can’t control all their employees. But you’d think this is part of the basic training they give to their employees — don’t call your customers a-holes.” CORVALLIS, Ore. - A 19-year-old former Oregon State University student was cited for public indecency after a 17-minute porn video of her in the Valley Library reportedly appeared online. Students said they heard about the video on social media platforms, where else, that included Facebook, Twitter, and the Yik Yak phone app. “I was surprised someone was in our library doing that,” one student told the local TV station. “I feel like it’s always packed. I don’t know how anyone could get away with it.” University spokesman Steve Clark said security is a high priority. At the same time, the Valley Library has 340,000 square feet
and is used by 30,000 people a week. Apparently it is difficult to keep porn from happening with traffic like that. All I know is that we didn’t have any amateur porn on campus when I was at university. Of course, I never got invited to those kinds of parties anyway. DUSSELDORF, Germany (UPI) - A German judge ruled a tenant can’t be held responsible for floor damage resulting from urinating while in the standing position. Dusseldorf Judge Stefan Hank sided with the tenant, whose lawsuit said the landlord refused to return $2,100 of his $3,300 deposit, alleging the resident’s urine had damaged the marble floor around the toilet. Hank said the arguments from the landlord and a “technical expert” who confirmed urine was responsible for the marble tile damage were “credible and understandable,” but not enough to sway his opinion. “Despite the increasing domestication of men in this regard, urinating while standing up is still widespread,” the judge wrote in his ruling. Hank said the landlord should have warned the tenant of the floor’s “sensitivity” to urine droplets. “Anyone who still practices this formerly dominant custom has to expect occasional clashes with — especially female — flatmates. But they don’t have to worry about corrosion to the marble floor,” Hank wrote. There has been a growing movement in Germany to convert “Stehpinkler,” men who stand while urinating, into tidier “Sitzpinkler,” men who sit to pee. Opponents of the movement sometimes use “Sitzpinkler” as a derogatory term to insult a man’s masculinity.

SAN FRANCISCO (UPI) - The San Francisco Zoo is bringing Valentine’s Day cheer to scorned ex-lovers by allowing them to adopt cockroaches and scorpions in the names of their exes. “This Valentine’s Day, if you care enough to send the very best, you’ll choose our charming Madagascar Hissing Cockroach package,” the zoo said on its website. The zoo suggested the adoption package for the hissing cockroach, which grows to a size of 2-4 inches long and is believed to be the only hissing insect, is the perfect way to show “your favorite ex” that you have “moved on” with your life. The zoo also suggested jilted lovers consider adopting a giant hairy scorpion in the name of a “low-life ex.” “So the latest affair didn’t work out and given your ex’s record-breaking ability to move on, you suspect foul play. Well, nothing soothes the sting like the adoption of a giant hairy scorpion in honor of your former beloved. It’s no surprise, these invertebrates are aggressive, active, and alarmingly nocturnal. “Much like your low-life ex, they are usually found in and around low-elevation valleys where they dig elaborate burrows or ‘caves.’ Also just like you-know-who, when a suitable victim wanders by, the scorpion grabs the doomed creature with its pinchers and stings the prey. After the prey is immobilized, the scorpion tears the carcass apart with its pinchers and begins feeding. STOCKTON, Cal. - You have heard of the Italian Necktie (sometimes called the Columbian Necktie) and the Chicago Smile. Now some innovators in California have come up with a new, diabolical punishment for the victims. It is being called the Stockton Duck Face. It all began when robbers in Stockton, California assaulted their victim in a painful and unusual way. According to a statement from the Stockton Police, a 26-year-old man was walking on Pacific Avenue when he noticed he was being followed by three suspects. One suspect called out to the man, and as the man was trying to get away, was hit on the back of the head and knocked to the ground. Two of the suspects held the man down while the third suspect went through his pockets and took his money. The suspects then reportedly pushed the man’s face into the side of an abandoned shopping cart, forcing his lips through the mesh. They then ran away. The man lost consciousness and was later found by paramedics who had to cut the cart from his face. The man’s condition is unknown, but it is feared that the opportunity for an epic selfie was tragically missed.

Within the last year or so they went from playing beer bars to opening for Old Crow Medicine Show this past summer. However unlike the White Stripes this is more of a true collaboration than a showcase for one member's talent. The duo sings, play their instruments, sharing vocals and in doing so kept the attention of a full house. ENIGMA
