Enjoy! This fantastic album of Finnish mills is compiled by Willem van Bergen. He kindly donated it for study. It is created from his excellent photos of the highlights on the long trip around Finland which he shared with Leo van der Drift in the spring of 2017. Kirsti Horn acted as guide in the Turku archipelago. The purpose of this trip was to photograph mills for the website milldatabase.org which is to a great extent the result of Leo van der Drift´s persevering work of many years. Many different kinds of traditional windmills—post mills, Karelian post mills, hollow post mills, smock mills, American windmills and some derelict mills too—are featured from the southwestern archipelago to the far north. In addition, there are a few water mills and even a horse driven mill, all presented through the sharp observation of a true molinological specialist and a great photographer. Many thanks to Willem for presenting these mills to the world!
