ARTISTIC EXPRESSION Freestyle Painting An opportunity to paint with others and hone your skills in a supportive environment. Oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels – whatever your choice. No instruction but lots of camaraderie. Other artists in the class are happy to provide suggestions and critiques if asked. Flexible hours. Bring a lunch and come for the full five hours or just stay for a two or three, in the morning or afternoon. Instructor: Bonnie Soley Day: Tuesdays Dates: Through July 30 Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fee: $40 Room: 115 (painting photos are from the Spring 2019 Student Art Show & Sale)

Wilson, M.M.

One-on-one vocal instruction offered by for beginning and advanced singers by Ellen Wilson M.M., ENMU-Ruidoso music faculty member. Repertoire includes classical, folk, musical theatre, and popular music styles. Lessons are individually tailored to the goals, talents, and abilities of the singer with warmups and repertoire selected to maximize vocal growth and meet any goals such as a solo for choir, a talent show performance, or a college audition. Monthly Tuition for Summer and Fall: $105 for 4 half-hour lessons 路 $199 for 4 one-hour lessons Special Summer Tuition: $190 for 8 half-hour lessons 路 $385 for 8 one-hour lessons Summer Tuition Voice Lessons will be scheduled to be completed by August 17. After registering with ENMU Community Ed, please contact instructor Ellen Wilson to schedule your weekly lesson at 575-305-5414 or ellen.wilson@enmu.edu. Materials required for lessons: Vocal repertoire book with accompaniment CD (instructor will make recommendations) 3-ring binder for storing music; pencils for marking music, pens and paper for taking notes. Accompaniment tracks will be used in lieu of an accompanist. It is suggested to wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in.

COMPUTERS CompuClinic CompuClinic is a place you can go to when you need computer help. It isn’t really a class, and there are no organized lessons. It is simply somewhere to go when you have a question or two (or more!) about computers that you need answered. Feel free to stop by even if you don’t have questions, because you just might learn something by listening in on how others fixed their problems! Online Cyber Security Certification Program This program is designed to be completed in 9 months. While applicable in the job market, these classes are transferable for college credit. Prerequisite: One year computer and network related experience or successful completion of a Computing and Networking Fundamentals course. Other qualifications may apply. Call for information.

Being of Service: Civic Engagement

The Creative Aging Advisory Committee to Lincoln County invites you to participate in our mission of serving seniors in Lincoln County. Recognizing that many of the key factors that influence a livable community are determined locally, we strive to create an opportunity to bring together decision makers across the public, private, and volunteer sectors to work in partnership with seniors to create imaginative changes that will have an impact on the lives of all of us as we age in this frontier community. We meet monthly with informal subcommittee meetings in between. Our goal is to raise the awareness of resources available to our growing demographic of retirees and seniors.
