he long-awaited Mitraland Property Talk was held at the Premiere Hotel in Klang, on the 21st of April 2018. Attendees were served a wholesome breakfast just before taking their seats in anticipation of the property talk. Mitraland invited Mr Siva Shanker and Mr Jared Lim, both of whom are popular and versatile property and banking experts. Mr Siva Shanker, Past President of the Malaysian Institute of Real Estate Agents, has over 30 years of experience in the real estate field. His topic, ‘2018 & Beyond: Investment Opportunities in the Western Corridor’ offered a different approach towards the view of property investment. He peppered his talk with amusing anecdotes which kept the crowd engaged and in high spirits. He also divulged noteworthy information pertaining to Malaysian buying trends and the advantages of having a diverse property portfolio. Mr Jared Lim’s talk on ‘How Banks Determine Your Borrowing Power’ followed Mr Siva. Mr Lim is a young entrepreneur who, among many admirable achievements, founded LoanStreet.
