Don’t Let Fear Overrule Your Success

F

OPHELIA NIXON-UKE

ear is one of the biggest obstacles for someone wanting to become an entrepreneur. It can potentially reintroduce you to the mounds of insecurities that once hindered you from making bold moves, and doing great things. So what does the term “paralyzed with fear” mean? It means that you

Your brilliance, and your purpose has already made way for you … have been impacted in such a way by a situation wherein you feel as though you’re unable to move, or let alone breathe, for if you do, something terrible is going to happen. Is it because something disadvantageous is in fact is going to occur..no! But due to the story your mind has created, and manipulated you into believing, credibility has been given, whereby furnishing this false evidence with a platform to which it can make itself socially known as being real, though it is not. To simply put it, you have given it a name, infusing it with power in such a way wherein fear has taken hold of your destiny entrenching itself as the controller in every aspect of your life. This type of power is one that should never be relinquished as nothing or no one deserves 4 | ENTREPRENEUR PLATFORM MAGAZINE | January/February 2020

the privilege to dictate the levels of success you should have. We’ve all been confronted by apprehensions during various stages of our lives. With that said, we should be using the knowledge of fear to empower us instead of hindering or discouraging us. Over time, there has been a vast influx of business minded individuals who have confidently, and eagerly stepped up to fulfill roles that you have allowed fear to persuade you from pursuing. You have graciously given it access to destroy what you’re building, or was wanting to bring to fruition. This is the action of one who has chosen to operate as a cowardice, rather than that kick butt warrior who uses their trials, struggles, mishaps, falls and failures as a trampoline to catapult them onto the next platform despite the challenges. However, you still remain the determining factor in the way in which you choose to let it affect your quality of life, because this is where the most serious and irreparable damages are done. It isn’t always easy for one to speedily bounce back from, if they’re in anyway blessed enough to do so. When these important areas of your life are being destroyed due to the heavy presence of fear, you must analyze the situation immediately in order to eradicate the problem. No positive turnaround can be had if doubt is the master of your thoughts, and fear the leader of your life. If this is the circumstances in which you’ve found yourself in, then it’s safe to say your dreams are already shattered before they ever had a fair chance to take root. Upon noticing the hold fear has on you, the next action step you take will be a determining one. Your next step will either make room for growth to levels that are damning, or it will awaken the sleeping giant in you that

OPHELIA NIXON-UKE

comes out swinging and ready to fight. Your giving it access to accumulate won’t present you with awards of accommodation. Rather, it will be as a virus spilling over into various areas of your life. While for others, your rapid downfall will create paths for great manifestations, as you my dear have been qualified and made a poster child for negative happenings. When you make room for fear, not only does it terminate success, but you begin to embody everything it represents. If you doubt this…step back for a moment and think hard as to why it has taken you so long to achieve certain goals. What is keeping you from making a move in the direction that you have long wanted to, but have not yet done? The more you question yourself, your capabilities, or create excuses, that is revealing a telltale sign of fear being present. Fear of not being good enough. Fear of not being strong enough. Fear of not having support. Fear of what others might say. Fear brings about insecurities, loss of confidence, and doom to our successes, because how can you be great if you doubt your greatness? How can you be successful if you doubt who will listen, or believe in your product or business? Your brilliance, and your purpose has already made way for you, but it’s time for you to believe that you are one of the best, and among the best, you are to TOP DOG! So, whatever and whomever is prompting this fear within you to rise up, address it and give it its final exit or it will weaken you until finally you are destroyed. It doesn’t stop unless you stop it, because its mission is to make you the tail and it the head. Meaning, it will assert itself at all cost to shut you down wherein though your name may be known, your voice will be forever silenced! Don’t let fear become the ruler of your success all while you’re continually losing focus of your dreams in a battle that you are well equipped to win. Don’t you know that nothing negative is strong enough to control the outcome of your life unless you’ve chosen to surrender to it? Don’t let fear paralyze you, as the things that we tend to be the most afraid of are the very things that can yield us the greatest rewards that we never thought possible. If you allow fear to make you a prisoner in your own life, then you will never know the extent of your capabilities and the things that you are really able to achieve. Success is scary, but if there was never anything in life for you to be afraid

of, then you wouldn’t know how powerful you are. Think about this, all the people that talk about you negatively, and hate on you…why do you think they do that? It’s because they are intimidated by the greatness that they see in you and on you. Never ever forget this little nugget, people aren’t intimated by what poses no threat to them.

USE FEAR AS A MOTIVATOR NOT AN INTIMIDATOR!!

To some it may seem juvenile or foolish, but just as we write letters to those we seek to get the attention of, why not write one to fear letting it know that it can never again dominate you. Let it be made known, that it’s only you and God alone who are the masters of your fate. Sometimes we’ve got to be willing to look ridiculous when It comes to our futures, because that’s when it can be fully seen that we’re on a different level, and we’re operating within a different mindset. This shift in your demeanor will serve as a clear message, alerting toxic things of their immediate termination dare they get bold enough to enter into your newly renovated sacred space. If you continue to operate in that space of fear, then you will never be willing to try anything new. You will never know the magnitude of the impacts that you could make in society. You will never know the depths of your greatness. You will never tear down those strongholds that were intentionally set up to block you. You will always lower your standards to make everyone else rise. You will always sacrifice your happiness for those who will purposely use you to get to their next level of success. So basically, you have allowed life to pimp you, and fear to destroy you. “Dear fear, I’ve had it with your manipulative ways and the disturbances you have brought into my life. As of today, I am no longer willing to entertain you because of the toxicity you represent. I am not angry, I’m just at the point where I’m going to be aggressive and firm with you, as I let you know what I will not accept from here on out. My position I stand in is one that is not negotiable, nor am I concerned as to the impact the harshness of my words may have on you. I’m actually hoping that when you see the intensity of my words you would actually shrivel up and die. “ Unapologetically, Chaplin Ophelia Uke

Are You Contemplating A New Direction? ELINOR STUTZ

In addition to the fuzzy feelings, the time comes to examine our previous reality. A review of prior highs and lows is essential for the next part of the journey to work well. When we learn to view mishaps as gifts in disguise, we can begin a better path ahead. And 6 | ENTREPRENEUR PLATFORM MAGAZINE | January/February 2020

by embracing the best, the next step is to expand upon it as we journey up the ladder of success. As we find ourselves contemplating a new direction, we can only compare ourselves to our previous self. The streamlining process creates focus and allows us to advance more adeptly. The narrow perspective is excellent for self-improvement and professional development. For me, it has been a long winding road from the corporate sales world to that of entrepreneurship. Baby steps describe my year-to-year journey. But on occasion, a nice note brings a smile, and a special moment of recognition motivates me to continue.

s the cold weather arrives, it becomes an excellent time for contemplating a new direction. Realizing what will excite us in the new year brings warmth along with smiles.

The more we ask, the more we learn It is an honor to be among the list of the Top 50 Salespersons of 2019, provided by Survey Sparrow. The next step is to widen our perspective by studying the advancements of others who we admire. Somehow there may be an element of achievement that catches our attention. Examination of the details can help move us forward. For example, The World Economic Forum posted an article and video from Forbes entitled, “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.” https://www.forbes.com/powerwomen/#3ca3a75a5e25 While most of us may not have the talent for politics, there are elements of the work that can inspire us on our terms. Take the best of what you believe is working well for you and leave the rest behind. Widening our perspective includes asking for input from those different from ourselves. Diverse nationalities, generations, genders, and professions all give way to life experiences different from our own. The more we ask, the more we learn. The more we learn, the better we can build a business and help future generations. For example, Ken is applying for a technical position. He asked me to read his resume. His experience is vastly different from mine. The first paragraph stopped me with a need to ask the

meaning of three capital letters. His reply surprised me. He said, “good point, I’ll fill in the verbiage, so more recruiters understand.’ An innocent question provided help. “Three actions advance us forward best: Question, Listen, Clarify. Turning these three activities into daily habits provides us with a better understanding. As we begin to comprehend on a higher level what others are saying, we can then collaboratively find the better solution.

Tips For Contemplating A New Direction If it’s time for a new job, update your resume and have someone unfamiliar with the industry read it. Like Ken, you may be enlightened by an unsuspecting someone. Consider all the ideas in mind. Take all of your thoughts and chart them out. Include a reality check about cost and return on investment. Know you will be motivated to continue through the ups and downs. Nothing is impossible when you take the time to plan appropriately and secure the help you need. We each have one life to live ~ enjoy your journey! 408-209-0550 elinor@smoothsale.net www.smoothsale.net

Dust Off The Trust G. BRIAN BENSON

I

have a little piece of wood that has the word “trust” painted on it that sits on my desk. I put it there a while back to remind me to continue to trust in the process of my journey. Because from time to time, like anyone else I lose sight of my intentions when things get busy or I am tired and can slide into moments of fear or disillusion.

Take a deep breath and get back to the place of why you started your journey in the first place The other day I did some housecleaning and noticed there was some dust on top of my “trust” block. That got me thinking. Sometimes in life we need to be reminded to wipe off the proverbial dust in our trust process with our goals and intentions. It can be easy to forget as we get caught up with the day-to-day barrage of work and occasional set-backs that can hamper us from remembering to trust in our process and direction that we want to head. I’m no different, even though I have the “trust” block of wood to remind me. I too sometimes forget and get wrapped up in the daily dogma, forget to step off of the hamster wheel and allow some of my fears to come through. Just remember that you were put here for a reason and that reason is 8 | ENTREPRENEUR PLATFORM MAGAZINE | January/February 2020

to share the gift of being you. And as long as you remember that and continue to move forward in being the best version of yourself, you are way ahead of the game. Are you feeling out of sorts? Feeling a little off track and not exactly sure where things are headed? It’s ok. Take a deep breath and get back to the place of why you started your journey in the first place. Try and remember those intuitive hunches that sparked your curiosity and interest. Tap back in to the excitement of starting that new job or project, the creative process and desire to share. In the meantime, slow down and give yourself permission to take a break. Let your cup re-fill. We can’t move forward when there is no fuel to operate with. But most importantly, just like I did with my “trust” block, wipe off the dust of your trust process. Remember your “wins,” and how far you have come. Sometimes things need a bit of seasoning and may take a little longer than we like. Hang in there, you are headed in the right direction and sometimes it just takes a re-set to recapture those feelings and pick up some momentum. Sincerely, “Brian” G. Why Own a Business in 2020? NIKKI MURRILL

With the abundance of mom and pop shops, fortune 500 companies, dot com successes, and more, this article will highlight the benefits of jumping into entrepreneurship in the coming year 2020.

Tax Cuts for Business Owners A common belief is that business owners can write off just about anything that relates to the affairs of their commercial

10 | ENTREPRENEUR PLATFORM MAGAZINE | January/February 2020

establishment. According to Investopedia tax deductions can be applied to business activities ranging from a business cell phone bill to a business meeting meal, or even business travel expenses. You may say deductions are admirable, but after so much is invested in overhead expenses and maintenance of the business, is it really worth it with tax breaks and all? Surely, a shrewd entrepreneur will have to count up the cost and manage his income, but consider the following. If you own an LLC, and you make regular purchases for business, the proper balance of those purchase expenses within your income tax bracket can reap potential income savings each year. CPA Steven R. Dorfman of Dorfman & Company LLP, encourages business owners to not pass up utilizing IRC Section 179.

NIKKI MURRILL

This section of the IRS code further explains how business purchases can actually be deducted up to $1,000,000 within that calendar year of purchase. Non business owners, undoubtedly, wish they had this recourse!

Leave a Legacy Trail There is a dire need for direction for our youth today. Presidential impeachment, human trafficking, school shootings are but a few of the horrors that plague our society. Just think of the filthy rich families like that of JW Marriot, Rockefellers, the Waltons, Mars family and countless other dynasties. Their children and childrens’ children are heirs and heiress to the fortune amassed. The importance of the family name, family enterprise, and family prestige are taught and embed to maintain the longevity and clout of their impact in this world. Starting a successful business can very well land you and your family into prosperity as these named families. It is said that such families shelter their money in trusts or life insurance policies to ensure accessibility and compounding for the long haul. What an indeed pleasure it would be to pass down integrity to your lineage, but to also weave wealth into your family’s future that is long lasting. Our children may not necessarily be interested in the family business, but the ownership and management of the business as an asset is something that can be instilled as both prudent and honorable. Keep it in the family!

Income Opportunities Just because an individual owns a business does not mean they do not have a 9-5 job. Many entrepreneurs begin business while supporting family and the meager beginnings with a side career. Ultimately, many endeavor to get substantiated and go full time into proprietorship. The supplemental income aspect is most attractive to the business owner

beginner who desires to reach epic growth in their market, quitting their 9-5 job. Ecommerce websites require a level of understanding and market savvy, but if successful can be an oustanding business model with less of a startup headache as the average brick and mortar store! Statistics show that as 2019 comes to a close, mobile shopping will make up about 63.5% of ecommerce sales. How many people do you know with a phone? This is one example of a broad customer base that could very well turn out to be lucrative to the business owner who studies the market, understands marketing, embraces branding, and a whole lot more. Another small-scale business model is your kiosk or food truck. Holiday time is a big money maker for malls, and those little businesses in the middle of the walkway capitalize on their fair share in many cases! Furthermore, After the requirements are met with the food and drink regulations, a food truck can also prove to be profitable if done right. Despite economic hardship, catastrophes, and political turmoil, business still strives. Merchants constantly seek to sell and the consumer is ever buying. Why not get your piece of the pie? If you are on the line of decision, continue to research and build a business plan. While America is yet a sovereign nation with freedom available to engage in business, do so! Make your mark in this life and do not live to regret an opportunity in entrepreneurship foregone.

Instagram Stories for Business in 2020 KAREN ALBERT

I

nstagram Stories was first created by Snapchat but its success tremendously multiplied when Instagram literally copied this new format. Recently, Instagram has amplified its popularity among its business community by introducing the options for any Instagram business account to create stories, measure, and interact with their audience [Creator accounts offer the best analytics].

What is an Instagram story? A story is a format that combines photos, videos, text, or stickers in a creative whole. It lives for 24 hours and it disappears if it is not downloaded or saved in archive or your Instagram Highlights. Instagram stories appear at the top bar in the mobile app and are the first glance that your Instagram followers will see when they open the Instagram app.

Why Instagram Stories for Businesses? Instagram is used by more than 800 million people. And according to the internal Instagram data presented on the latest f8 conference, 200 million Instagram users visit business profiles every day. 14 | ENTREPRENEUR PLATFORM MAGAZINE | January/February 2020

2/3rds are from non-followers who want to learn more about the products and businesses on Instagram. This means that people go to Instagram to discover businesses and learn more about their products.

These statistics make it very clear WHY companies want to manage Instagram profile, resulting in more than 25 million businesses who use Instagram for their everyday communication with their customers and engagement with the potential ones. Furthermore, the statistics show Instagram stories are definitely the fastest growing format on Instagram, with more than 400 million accounts who use Instagram Stories every day, as of June 2018. This is one of the most rapidly growing features in the history of Facebook/Instagram, since the News Feed. It is estimated that will probably outgrow the Feed based on the number of views, sometime in 2020.

Top 3 Instagram Stories Benefits Here are the top 3 benefits that Instagram stories can provide for your business:

1. Reach more Instagram users Instagram stories are discoverable. This means that your stories can be found and viewed by people who are not your followers. You can use hashtags or tag other people or brands to expand the reach of your stories’ content.

Furthermore, if you want to expand the reach of your Instagram stories beyond the Instagram app, you can use Embed Stories and display your Instagram stories on your website.

2. Engage more with your current users The story format provides you with endless possibilities for you to engage with your audience and provide them with valuable information that they can interact with. Here is what you can do: • Create visual ‘How to’ tutorials for your products • Provide free tips and tricks • Present the latest news about your products or news from your industry • Unveil ‘behind the scene’ content • Showcase an event or a tradeshow your business attended • Give special promotions, discount codes, last minute offers

3. The Instagram story is a conversion tool One of the main benefits that Instagram stories provide for their users is beyond just creating brand awareness. Instagram stories provides opportunities Continued on page 54

he Art of Crochet is a centuries old, hand crafted and detail oriented art form, that takes its name from a French word, meaning “hook. Crochet is a fun and easy to learn task, but what Dr. Lacie Cupani has done using this popular needlecraft, is far from ordinary or easy. Dr. Cupani is a fashion designer who has revolutionized the art of crochet and has elevated it to new heights with her beautiful and artistic designs. Her fashion design company has taken runways by storm and is leaving audiences clamoring for more. However, a life in fashion is not what Dr. Cupani had in mind when she completed college. In fact, her life on the runway is truly a story of turning tragedy into Triumph. Continued on page 30

TERRY KING HUNT Continued from page 29

Lacie Cupani was born in Frunze, Kyrgyzstan, and at a very early age she developed a passion for medicine and science. In 1990, she earned a medical degree, and in 1998, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases. Her

The desire to create a new design is usually sparked when I run into a bulky, unattractive item displayed in a brick n’ mortar store studies continued in areas such as Human Genetics and Immunogenetics at the University of Tokyo, the most prestigious University in Japan (1999-2001). In 2001, she was appointed to work under a special project sponsored by the DOD at Polytechnic Institute of New York University (2001-05). Her highly sought after research and expertise brought her to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she taught Tissue Engineering, Immunology, Microbiology, and carried out experimentation. Her research group was working on immunotherapeutics and vaccine development against dangerous infections caused by contagious spores. By 2013, she authored over 70 research articles in leading scientific journals and was named inventor on several patents. As an ambitious woman in science, she experienced discrimination from her male colleagues of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and biased administrators of the

University of Arkansas System. In 2012, these men with an assistance of Dr. Cupani’s MS and PhD students fabricated a case against her and began - what would eventually become - an 18-month long nightmare. The intimidation was unbearable, to the point where she and her family feared for their safety. Throughout the investigation and trial, she was ostracized from academic circles, stripped of her Tenured Associate Professor position and abused through social media and American Universities online portals. This campaign against her made it difficult to pursue a career in academia and scientific circles. Even after a successful appeal, the intimidation persisted. Her family urged her repeatedly to leave the country and to return back to Kyrgyzstan, but she refused to give in to the threats and intimidation, so she stayed. Lacie emphasized that “America is my home! Bad people can be found anywhere. Leaving is synonymous to accepting one's defeat. I'm here to stay. This implies wining! I made it my job to promote Arkansas and the U.S. worldwide!” In addition to her love for science, she also had a love for sewing and crocheting; hobbies she learned and mastered while attending High School. She recounts that during the hardship she had experienced, crocheting is what kept her sane. “The relaxing art calmed my mind and helped me to handle this ordeal with grace”. When she realized that her career in academic science took an abrupt turn, she accepted her hobby as her new vocation. In June of 2013, Dr. Cupani, started her fashion design company, which she named Cupani Fashion, LLC. That year, she designed well over 40 crocheted pieces, Continued on page 32

and in July of 2014, she presented 40 garments at the Little Rock Fashion Week and won the “Little Rock Fashion Week Line of The Year 2014”. Cupani Fashion LLC, gets its name from Lathyrus Cupani, an abundantly scented flower that was first cultivated by Father Francis Cupani in Sicily, Italy, in 1695. Dr. Cupani organized her first own fashion show and named it “Cupidon is inviting You!” Cupidon (a.k.a. Cupid) the Roman God who assists people to fall in love without passing judgement. Dr. Cupani felt that the envious and jealous UALR/ UA-S “Good Old Boys” she had to deal with at her former workplace really needed more love, and so does Arkansas and the rest of this tumultuous World. “Happy people will never cause arson, vandalize cars, intimidate, or ruin someone else's tenure position, life, and dreams. Happy people will do their best to make their environment a better place to live and promote dreams of others.” By creating her own company and her design pieces, Dr. Cupani hoped to convey more love to her community, as well as around the globe. Cupani Fashion's mission is to help people look stunning and amazing, to help them feel distinguished through outstanding garments and/or exquisite fragrances, and to promote and assist people who wish to advance themselves through the fashion and entertainment industry. When asked what makes her brand better than her competitors, she responds “I don’t have to compete anymore! I create pieces of art and offer Cupani Fashion’s services at the highest level possible. I encourage people to conduct business, not on a barbaric 32 | ENTREPRENEUR PLATFORM MAGAZINE | January/February 2020

level, but on an elevated level. My focus is on love and art that will and should improve the people and their communities. As mentioned, Cupani Fashion's goal is to make people look and feel distinguished.” Dr. Cupani's focus on harmony and love has brought her a great sense of personal peace, but it has also been the key to a successful business model for her company. Over the last 6 years, Cupani’s collections have been exhibited at The AtlantaMart Apparel; “Cupidon Is Inviting You!” Fashion Show; “Viva Mothers!” Fashion Show; an International Contest and Fashion Show in Asia; Model of The Year; CMG New York City Fashion Week, and The CMG Paris Fashion Week (Producer: Lacie Cupani with The CMG); AIMS2K16 Autoimmune Metro Style Fashion Weekend, Myrtle Beach, NC (Producer: Sabre Sabre); EMB and VIP Exclusive Fashion Gala in Carmel, IN (Producers: Laylonna L Hurley and Terrance Shaw); PLITZ New York City Fashion Week (Producer: Wayne Shields); Little Rock Fashion Week and OneofKind Baton Rouge Fashion Week (Producer: Brandon D. Campbell); The Champagne & Chocolate Reception, Fairhope, AL (Producer: Faye Phillips); Boots&Bowties Fashion Show; Welcome to The Next Level Fashion and Filming Industry Educational Workshop in Killeen, TX (Producer: Renor Nori); Beach and Beauty Fashion Event (Producer: Robert Owen); FDC Young Designer Awards and the Collections Showcase in London, UK (Producer: Joanna Marcella); VIP Exclusive Fashion Show, Tampa, FL (Producer: Terrance Shaw). Dr. Cupani also designed a dress for Lady Susan Hutchinson, the spouse of Arkansas Governor, Asa Hutchinson, for

his inauguration in January of 2015. Celebrities and Prominent Figures including but not limited to Opera Singer Ruth’e Korelitz were dressed by Dr. Cupani. Bruno Mars and Usher are also happy recipients of little crocheted gifts by Cupani Fashion LLC. Cupani’s “Freedom” tunic made it to the scene and was worn by Ms. Cindy Grosz one of the journalists during President Trump Swearing In Ceremony, Washington DC. Many of Dr. Cupani’s designs have a delicate and ornate detailed look which begs the question, how many hours does she work on each design? She says that “it depends on the moment; there are times when I can spend a few hours a week designing a piece, or I can work 4 to 5 days in a row. The desire to create a new design is usually sparked when I run into a bulky, unattractive item displayed in a brick n’ mortar store.”

Fashion is not just a business for Dr. Cupani, she believes that fashion can have a life changing effect on society. She says that by wearing oneof-a-kind garments, people feel and look more confident and special. It is her belief that if we could all dress in this way, we’d be surrounded by more satisfied people on a daily basis, and as a result, we would face less jealousy and envy. Dr. Cupani says, “Dressing well would indirectly contribute to a better society overall.” Cupani Fashion is distributed both locally and internationally. In order to generate brand awareness, Dr. Cupani maintains a constant online presence on Instagram and Facebook. She organizes fashion shows where she showcases her latest creations and invites other designers to show their own collections. She also publishes Continued on page 45

a fashion magazine known as the “Amazing Fashion Magazine” in which she features and promotes her work, beauty, fashion, and entertainment businesses as well as the work of other designers, models, hairstylists, makeup artists, and photographers. Lacie is always thinking of ways to grow and expand her impact on the world. In the next three years, she plans to continue to design garments, but plans to invest more resources in promoting other designers in the fashion and entertainment industry. She claims that one of her greatest strengths is elevating and promoting those around her. Watching the success of others brings her true happiness. When Dr. Cupani describes success, she states that it can be measured by appreciation. “Success can be likened to a piano keyboard, with all of its ups and downs. It’s important not to be discouraged by temporary setbacks, but instead, to keep moving forward.” Not only is Lacie Cupani a business owner, she is also a philanthropist supporting and contributing to various charitable organizations- Angelman Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer, and Graves Disease

Foundations, and working for a good cause. One project of which she is especially proud is the work she supports in Kyrgyzstan. Since 2015, she has made it her duty to provide financial support to 36 orphans of the Orlovski Orphanage, Kyrgyzstan. Why orphans? Lacie: “The UALR/UA-S “Good Old Boys” robbed me of my motherhood and my dream to bear children. I forgive them and entrust my destiny in God’s hands. Nowadays, I have 36 orphans and over thousand “children”, namely designers, models, hairstylists, makeup artists, photographers, entertainers that I promote worldwide !” Using funds raised during the fashion weeks she hosts worldwide, she is able to provide this much needed support. Additionally, 10% of annual proceeds from her Fashion Magazine also support these 36 orphans. Recently, she received word that the Orlovski Orphanage is in need of coal for heating. She was delighted to report that “with the funds we have raised during 2019, we purchased and delivered nutritious foods such as nuts and dried berries as an important source of vitamins for the orphans, as well as coal for the Orlovski Orphanage! Hopefully, it will be warmer during the cold season. Many thanks to all the volunteers Model Aiperi Kulmurzaeva and Daniyar Mukanbetov with Alban Leader (Kyrgyzstan) and our generous

She loves eating sushi, sashimi, and healthy organic veggies she grows in her garden. When asked what advice she would give to other designers and entrepreneurs, she points out that “Being an entrepreneur has made me into a more understanding person. Take your time when creating designs, move one step at a time! Don’t be judgmental, don’t be afraid of being your unique self!
