Occupational Therapists play a key role acting as expert witnesses in clinical negligence and personal litigation.
We require experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapists to act as Expert Witnesses. If you are confident, have excellent communication skills, enjoy a challenge and are intrigued by the forensic nature of this work – this could be the position for you.
We offer you:
• Casework to fit in with other work; you work on a self-employed, flexible basis, alongside your “day job”
• This is a remote working position
• Excellent remuneration
• Access to our Annual Training and Resource Package.
Requirements:
• Practising clinically in a senior role with a minimum of 7-8 years’ post qualification experience (inclusive of any case management experience)
• Previous medico-legal experience not essential
• Registered with the HCPC.

Disabled entrepreneurs make up around one in four of the UK’s small firms1, yet they can experience extra barriers when it comes to starting and scaling a business. At Lloyds, we want to help shape an economy and society that’s more inclusive by providing products and services that are accessible to all, driving forward the disability agenda and championing role models from the community.
Cool Crutches
Lloyds have been working closely with disabled entrepreneurs such as Amelia Peckham, Co-Founder of Cool Crutches, to better understand the inequality experienced by disabled-led businesses.
At 19 years old, Amelia was involved in a quad biking accident that resulted in a devastating spinal injury. Five difficult months later, Amelia was ready to get back on her feet, but struggled to adapt to standard hospital crutches. The resilience that pushed Amelia through rehab encouraged her to research and design the first pair of Cool Crutches. With her mother, Clare, by her side, the duo dedicated themselves to creating comfortable, silent and safe mobility aids with eye-catching patterns.
Since it was founded in 2006, Cool Crutches has expanded its product range to include walking sticks, crutches for children and an ‘essentials’ range of plaincoloured sticks and crutches. Today, the Cool Crutches website receives around 2,000 orders every month, with customers in the UK, US and around the world.
Amelia is speaking at Naidex about her experiences as a disabled entrepreneur, the support she has received from Lloyds and through the Lilac Review –a government-backed initiative to tackle inequality experienced by disabled entrepreneurs.
