1 What college/ school are you attending? I have attended secondary school at Ninu Cremona Lyceum Gozo College for five years. Subsequently I have attended post-secondary sixth form for two year. Now I have graduated as a B Science Nurse, a course which I read for three years at the University of Malta. 2 Who helped you in this choice? I used to bring up the subject with my parents and school guidance teachers who all helped me in no little way to take a decision 3 Why did you choose (Type of College)? I had always expressed the profound desire to become a nurse. For me it is more of a vocation rather than a career. I have been toying with this idea since I was young. 4 Did you receive correct information about the college you wanted to attend? Yes… I used to make appointments with the University Students’ Services officers with whom I discussed my career path, on more than one occasion. They used to let me know that it could be a highly rewarding career but at the same time they used to warn me that it was no cushion job. There were huge responsibilities that I would have to shoulder, not least demanding working conditions and long shift hours. Time has proved them right but I have no regrets either whatsoever. 5 What were your favorite subjects at secondary school? I was keen on biology lessons during which we used to touch on a whole variety of subjects and carry out practical hands on sessions. 6 And what is your favorite subject now? I like medical science and still read medical journals to keep myself informed. 7 Have you had any problems at school? Sure….I had to cope with a number of problems. 8 If yes, what kind of problems? I had problems with subject choice and sometime problems of a personal type at school as well problems related with study work.
