The first presentation of the new decoration proposal through ARGO’s participation in Cosmetic Business 2017. This is an international fair for the Cosmetic industry that took place on June 21-22 at the MOC in Munich.

ARGO offers its customers innovative options in the decoration of transparent tubes. We call it “inward printing ef fec t” for a hidden surprise as shown in the picture.
This is achieved with an inline combination of flexographic printing and silk screen on the hybrid printing machine ISIMAT.
09 17 Publication in COSSMA Magazine: With the “inward printing effect”, ARGO acquired a position in the September issue of COSSMA Magazine. The magazine is dedicated to the market of Cosmetics and the publication for the ARGO tube was in the column about the latest market trends in tubes’ production.

products. The bottles are available in two different sizes, 150ml and 200ml, as well as in a variety of standard colors or special shades. PET is compatible with most formulas as it is a very good oxygen barrier while retaining the perfume of the product. Hence, PET bottles are used as the proper packaging solution for a wide range of personal care products, especially oil-containing formulations. The bottles are combined with standard foamer pumps, which are available on the market, in a range of colors and different foam dosages. One of the first customers who trusted their products in our new range is FREZYDERM with Mild wash foam and Intim area foam, which are filled in our 150ml bottle.
Various cleanser products in the form of foam can be found very often in pharmacies, as they quickly and thoroughly cleanse face and skin. ARGO has created two new cylindrical bottles in PET that cover the growing market needs for these
HELENVITA BY PHARMEX IN ARGO TUBES ARGO’s cooperation with PHARMEX S.A., one of the oldest and successful companies in the pharmaceutical industry, is constantly growing with new additions in the existing HELENVITA series. These new products, such as HELENVITA BLEPHACARE gel 60g, HELENVITA HAND CREAM 25ml & 75ml and HELENVITA INTENSIVE HAND CREAM 25ml & 75ml, were filled in ARGO’s printed tubes with different types of caps per capacity. In addition, the product series for children was refreshed with the new protection cream HELENVITA BABY NAPPY RASH CREAM 150ml, filled in ARGO’s printed tube with diameter 50mm and flip-top cap. Its artwork represents the product itself, while the hero captures the attention of young “consumers”.
The hand cream tubes were printed in ARGO’s new printing machine, which combines flexography, silkscreen and foiling in only one step. The artworks of these tubes, with the very small fonts, have been printed with a unique accuracy. 4

ARGO’s printed tubes with “Teethy” as the basic hero is the packaging of choice for kids’ toothpaste. Being colorful with unique printing in order to boost blueberry & strawberry flavors, is all what parents are looking for the best treatment of their children. The Sensi Theeth Kids series are filled in monolayer PE tubes in diameters Φ25 & Φ30. The tubes “return”, after use, to their original shape without spoiling the artwork until the last day of their use. The tubes are printed in one pass using flexography and silk screen printing. Recently, the complete range has been enhanced by adding colored foil, a combination of in line foiling and flexographic ink. The impressive result makes the packaging the kids’ favorite. And what could bring more happiness than a bright child’s smile?
Looking for oral care products for your baby or infant? FREZYDERM has developed a big range of such products which have been formulated to protect the mouth’s natural mucosa, are gluten free and clinically tested.
PHARMASEPT CHOΟSES ARGO PHARMASEPT chose ARGO for the facelift of the products Cryo Power Gel and Thermo Power Gel. Both are filled in polyethylene (HDPE) bottles, in two different colors, green and orange, with a neck for a snap-on flip top cap. Cryo Power Gel is a topical analgesic gel with herb extracts (Arnica, Ilex, Devil’s Claw) which provides direct relief from muscle aches, sprains, bumps and bruises with the power of ice. Thermo Power Gel offers relief through warming and soothing sensation in body areas applied. It is ideal for the intensive care of tired and strained body parts.
The excellent quality of the bottles and the demanding printing, along with the high quality gel, contributed significantly to the overall product upgrade.

One of the main objectives of ARGO is the continuous improvement of the production areas and processes. In this context, the company has recently made a new investment in the renovation of the electrical and mechanical facilities of the department producing injection and injection blow items. The production premises were reconstructed and expanded according to the requirements of ISO 15378:2015 (Good Manufacturing Practice). In parallel, new equipment, such as cranes and mold storage systems, was obtained. Furthermore, all water cooling networks and distribution networks of compressed air were replaced with new insulated networks from stainless steel. This change results in cleanliness, resilience in time and reduction of cooling losses. In parallel, modern pumping stations of automatic pressure control and new chillers were installed. Another innovation was the replacement of conventional electricity distribution cables with busbar electrical lines.

Finally, ARGO increased the capacity of injection department by purchasing five new electrical injection machines, while four more machines are expected to be added by the end of 2017. The actions described above prove ARGO’s commitment to continuous improvement through high quality of products and services and upgrade of employees’ health and security.
ROMVAC’S INJECTABLE SOLUTIONS IN ARGO BOTTLES ROMVAC, committed to the medical industry for more than 40 years, is the largest manufacturer and distributor of veterinary drugs and vaccines in Romania. ROMVAC’s strategy to manufacture high quality products with added value, is accomplished by choosing exclusively high quality raw materials and packaging. On that basis, the collaboration between ROMVAC and ARGO ROM has been established and constantly expanding. ARGO’s packaging materials are used for a large percentage of the 230 veterinary medicines and vaccines currently on the market.
ARGO’s product range of polypropylene vials is the choice of ROMVAC for the injectable products, a big category in its portfolio. The final products, packed in 10ml, 25ml, 50ml and 100ml of the standard series of ARGO, had a great impact on the market, thus making a key contribution to its success.
TIS PRODUCTS IN NEW PET 24/410 SERIES One of ARGO’s oldest customers on the Romanian market, TIS Farmaceutic, was among the first companies that started using the 100ml and 150ml bottles from the new PET range. Having a great experience in the industry of personal care products, TIS Farmaceutic chose ARGO’s bottles to pack a wide range of lotions and shampoos, such as PsoriTIS, shampoo urea 10%, filled in the 150 ml PET bottle and hair lotion NutriTIS, filled in the 100ml PET bottle. The new range of PET bottles, launched in the beginning of 2017, consists of oval bottles of 100ml, 150ml and 200ml as well as round ones with capacities of 150ml, 200ml and 250ml and is popular among existing and potential customers in the personal care field.

NEW PRODUCT SERIES 36VTE Committed to continuous improvement of its existing products, as well as to the development of new ones, ARGO proceeded to a modification in the neck of two best seller products in order to be compatible with the new tamper evident cap of 36mm diameter (36VTE). The 1L canister from Canister VC 38TE series can now be combined with the new 36VTE cap with tamper evidence and I.S. (Induction Sealing) liner or EPE (Extended PE) liner, depending on the requirements of each product or customer. The second product which will have a new 36VTE neck, is the bottle 100ml Agrochem. These modifications are expected to be completed until the end of this year.
NEW MOLD FOR AGROCHEM 50 CLOSURE Responding to the increased demand, characterized also by a certain seasonality, ARGO invested in the construction of a new mold for the closure 50mm. Closure 50mm without tamper evidence, with I.S. (Induction Sealing) liner is available in a variety of colors and used in the standard series of bottles and canisters Agrochem 50 of ARGO. The new mold results in a higher production capacity due to the doubling of the cavitation, while in parallel contributes to a more energy efficient and environmentally friendly production due to the hot runner technology.

ARGO’S PRESENCE IN EXHIBITIONS & TRADE FAIRS In order to be informed about the new market trends, ARGO considers it necessary to participate in exhibitions either as an exhibitor or as a visitor. In this way, we have the opportunity to meet with existing or potential customers, suppliers or competitors, aiming to exchange news and ideas. ARGO participated for the 5th consecutive year in CPhI Worldwide on October 24-26, 2017 in Frankfurt. In June 2017, it was the company’s first participation in Cosmetic Business in Munich, an international fair for the Cosmetic industry. The outcomes and feedback from both fairs were very positive. In addition, ARGO’s representatives visit every time Interpack, the world’s biggest trade fair on the packaging sector (rigid and flexible), as well as fairs on the plastic sector and latest equipment trends, e.g. K exhibition and Fakuma. Apart from the international trade fairs, ARGO is participating in local and thematic exhibitions such as Sahara, the trade fair for agrochemicals in Cairo.
MAKING RESPONSIBLE CHOICES: PAPER SAVING ARGO, always respecting the environment, proceeded since the end of 2016 to the replacement of perforated paper with regular A4 paper. This transition is expected to reduce the annual paper pulp quantity by 37.5kg. In the same direction, we substituted the hard copy filing, with a digital form. As a result, the total paper consumption was decreased as well as the access to company’s files became easier for all involved personnel.

ARGO AT 35TH ATHENS AUTHENTIC MARATHON On November 12th, ARGO participated in Athens Authentic Marathon for the first time. ARGO’s team consisted of 13 employees who ran 5km & 10km races.
It was a special experience which reinforced employees’ team and athletic spirit. See you next year!
CHEMICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT STUDENTS AT ARGO The team of ARGO had the pleasure to host a group of students from the faculty of Chemical Engineering of NTUA (National Technical University of Athens). The students, who attended the course “Science and Technology of Polymers”, were guided into the production units of ARGO by members of the R&D department. They had

the opportunity to be informed about production methods, raw materials and final products, as well as to discuss and pose their questions. It was a constructive day for both sides.
