Bringing Tertiary Education and Vocational Training to Vulnerable Populations

As an in-house graphic designer at UNITAR, the training arm of the United Nations, I was responsible for everything that had to do with my specialty since I was the only graphic designer of the Communications team in the Devision for Peace. That included designing and illustrating training manuals, infographics and presentations, training materials for the teams, social media visuals and videos, emailing campaigns and branding materials.Thisrole helped me to improve further my skills in all aspects of graphic design, from printing and digital advertising, to video production and event support and also it helped me to further develop my leadership skills.
IN-HOUSE GRAPHIC DESIGN
In addition, I worked closely with the Above Production Department to make sure that both the printed and digital materials we produced for the same clients were in line, and also participated in printing campaigns.
DIGITAL ADVERTISEMENT
In the past, I had the opportunity to work as a digital art director at two different advertising agencies. My role was to support the team in the digital advertisement of our clients. I was in charge of creating distinctive visuals for social media, short videos, newsletters, UI/UX support for websites and branding.
As a graphic designer, I am always aiming to improve my technical skills. By experimenting with my illustration style I get to explore new tools and boost my creativity.
ILLUSTRATIONS
The city of Eusapia is inspired by the book of Italo Calvino “Invisible cities”. The branding of the city, the illustrations, the map and the font of the city, are all based on the book’s description.
