My journey in the architecture field started at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. I opted for this establishment because it reconciled art and science in a very balanced way. In the second year of the master’s degree, I partook in the Erasmus program, where I spent one year at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, in Belgium. This experience taught me how to deal with different perspectives of looking at and working with architecture. During this time, I started working on my master’s thesis which was centered on the comparison between two rehabilitation projects: two old convents converted and adapted for contemporary programs, one in Belgium and one in Portugal. This allowed me to pursue my interest in rehabilitation and further explore the differences between the two contexts in the field of revovation and reuse. In the last years at the university, I also took on the role of student representative of my year within the university’s department, having to make the bridge between professors and students. I consider myself a responsible, calm and observant person, with a great desire to learn new skills and improve my performance at work, thus giving importance to teamwork from which one can grow a lot. Professionally, I have a special appreciation for the practical part of the construction site (the materialization of a project into reality), and I enjoy making models in different materials. On a more personal note, photography is one of my passions. I am looking for an atelier where I can continue to learn and hopefully be an asset to the team.
