Introduction to Nanotechnology Nanotechnology is the science of something that is smaller beyond comparison. A nanometer is a billionth of a meter. The thickness of a single sheet of paper is about 100,000 nanometers wide. That's pretty ridiculously small. Scientists have discovered a material ten times harder than diamond!! And guess what it is, its small but very strong its known as carbon nanotube. Nanotechnology is the science of something that is smaller beyond comparison. And then there are tiny mechanical creatures created by us humans, they are called nanobots. These machines could help us inside the blood stream killing bacteria and dissolving blood clots. These inventions could help us in many ways and all at the nanometer.

Some very rich people want to live forever they plan to live forever by literally duplicating their cells and DNA.

Nanobots Medical nanobots could greatly improve medical treatment by delivering the medicine directly to the source. But in smaller amount but this will make the medicine more effective because there will be a lot of nanobots and also when the medicine travels through the blood stream it becomes diluted. But if nanobots are used their metal bodies will keep the medicine from becoming diluted. Nanobots in theory would be small enough to be able to move individual atom them selves. If we follow this theory that means nanobots could assemble a house out of nothing. This also means this method would be a lot more eco and atmosphere friendly. This also means nanobots could be used to break up radiation, and maybe transform the radiation into useful items. This is only a small portion of what nanobots can do, there are infinite possibilities to what nanobots can do. Nanobots are tiny microscopic robots that in the future will be small enough to move atoms themselves!

These nanobots are injecting vital fluids and vitamins this way these red blood cells will be invulnerable to some types of bacteria.

Different types of nanobots Nanobots are small machines, which can fit into the bloodstream; these are some types of nanobots we might be seeing in the near future. Medbots will go inside our body and repair damaged parts. Other nanobots would be able to go inside your bloodstream and kill cancer cells. Tooth cleaning nanobots will be able to clean your teeth and kill any plaque on the nanoscale. Builder bots would be able to assemble things out of nothing, and would be deployed on a vast scale, so that the projects will be completed quickly. This way of building would be more efficient and eco friendly. These bots would be able to fix tiny fractures not visible to the human eye. Military bots are bots that would be used for espionage, arms manufacturing, repair jobs and as weapons themselves. Military repair bots could repair small parts. Spy bots could be deployed over enemy countries to spy on enemy leaders and gain intelligence. There many more ways nanobots could be used, and we might just be seeing some of these nanobots soon.

We could be seeing these military nanosuits very soon, the nanosuits of the future will be able to blend into the background and harden themselves to protect the wearers.

Nanotechnology good or bad? Nanotechnology could be used for many positive things. Nanotubes are stronger than diamonds and could make an elevator strong enough to go to space this would be much cheaper than sending rocket to space it would also be more eco. Nanobots would also be able to extract pollutants from the water and air. Nanotechnology can also be used or become a lot of negative things. Nanobots

could be used for war imagine a vast army of billions of nanobots destroying buildings and killing people or they could make weapons of destruction very fast. Some scientists say that nanobots could turn against us and replicate themselves and destroy the Earth turning everything into grey goo. There is a dispute between groups of scientists and people about whether nanotechnology is good or bad. But like it or not nanotechnology is coming very soon, for now lets just hope our scientists don't mess up.

Carbon nanotube fuel cells are light store energy efficiently and can collect solar energy so no energy will have to be spent powering electrical conveniences.

Glossary Bacteria: Multiple small creatures that move around in your body either causing disease or protect your body from disease. Atom: The one of the smallest units of measure known to man. DNA: Deoxyribonucleic ( De-ox-y-ri-bo-nu-cle-ic acid ) Acid for short, this is what makes you who you are. Invulnerable: Nothing of a certain kind of object can harm a person. Eco: Doing something that helps or doesn’t damage the Earth. Carbon Nanotubes: A tube that is composed of atoms that makes it super strong. Nanosuit: A suit made usually made for military purposes, made of any flexible material and has many nanobots on it controlled by a central AI ( artificial intelligence. Nanobots: A tiny robot that is not visible to the human eye.
