THE COLD BETWEEN: A

CENTRAL CORPS NOVEL BY

ELIZABETH BONESTEEL

* Gladys #XOXOtheNerdGirl * *This book was provided to me by the publisher for an honest review. A 25 year old cover up, a conspiracy to frame your lover of murder, deep space and not a clue where to start! What does a girl have to do to get less "action" around here? Commander Elena Shaw needs to get to the bottom of the murder of her crewmate and ex-lover, Danny. Not, just because she is the commander but because she was with her new lover Trey when it was committed. AND he is suspect #1. Everyone suspects Trey!! Can she do it? You will have to read on to find out. And read on you should. This is a powerful debut novel for Elizabeth Bonesteel. Her writing is fluid and very edge of your seat entertaining. Get yourself ready for a detective mystery set in outer space. It's both intriguing and captivating all rolled in one! 4 Stars! I can't wait for more!!! *This review was done in conjunction with Nerd Girl.

Modern Fantasy & Action: Tawn Krakowski

The roar of the bike’s engine resonated in the deepest recesses of my soul. It wasn’t long before I released my pent up anxiety by nimbly speeding along lonely stretchesof winding asphalt in the deepening dusk. Not only would the darkness serve as an added precaution to protect me from being seen, I also had better than average night vision. Therefore, it was not uncommon for me to do most of my prep work at night. With a wicked smile, I pulled over to the side of the road a quarter of a mile past the address Charlie had given me. This was going to be fun...

JD BROWN INTERVIEW BY

Laura Trujillo

Q. Where are you from? Does the area you live in influence you writing?A: I live about an hour north of Chicago and definitely use the city as a major source of inspiration for my settings. How can you not? My first book Dark Heirloom begins in Chicago. It's too iconic a place not to.... Q. What book(s) / author(s) have influenced your life and writing?A: So many. All the greatest vampire authors of course. Anne Rice, Bram Stoker, Stephenie Meyer, LJ Smith, Cassandra Clare, JR Ward, Charlaine Harris - just to name a few.

Above JD Brown was at a signing at a Comic Alley in Lake Geneva, WI. Behind her is Captain America...

Q. Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?A: Sounds silly, but I learned that I could write a book. I didn't know I had it in me before. And if you can write one book, then you can write two, five, ten, and so on.... Q. What book are you reading now?A: Another vampire book. Cathedral by USA Today Bestselling Author Addison Cain.I do like the heel.

Romance:

Half-naked moon-dancers pray to the stars because nobody else will listen. Motherless daydreamers build constellations out of tiny white Chistmas lights because all the magic left that one terrible day. Bella Ellery needs a savior, and Cooper Wilde might just be the hero she needs to rescue her from the ultrareligious, tyrannical grandmother. But her consequences aren't nearly as big as her secrets.

Dipping his head to whisper in her ear. “I like hearing you say, my man.” His words once again sent a shiver down her spine and then much lower. Breathless now she asks, “Where have you been?” Brent pulled her into his arms and hugged her close, “just doing my damnedest to make this perfect for you.” Thinking of chastising him for not calling or texting she swallowed hard and cursed her knees silently for weakening under his touch.
