PEDIATRIC HEMATOLOGY CLINIC E5.0 - Final Presentation Erin Fleming INTD-4500 Spring 2020
The goal of my design is to create a space that would effectivley support the preventative treament methods of the Sick Kids Hematology division in treating children with chronic blood disorders.
This facility is organized around family centered design and puts family spaces at it's core, while clinical areas work around it. By bringing the services of a hematology clinic together in one facility, hematologists and families can unite as a team to effectively care for chronically ill children.

The concept of the space is fluidity. My intent is to create a space that flows with the process of visiting a clinic. I focused my concept into the organization of the space from the moment of entry, through the waiting process to the scheduling of future appointments. Physically, I designed the space to to mimic the feel of waterflowing and natural movement, using soft edges and a neutral toned colour palette.
