TRENDS AUTUM/WINTER 2015 EARTHY TONES LIGHT PASTELS BRIGHT POP ROMANTIC JEWLS
LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
Dear Readers,, It is that time of year again; my team and I have been working hard to composite all of our most talked about colors into four very different conceptual color stories. We have traveled around the world in search of colors to freshen up your lives. We started our journey in the french rivera, soaking up the vibrant culture. There we found bold clean lines within a very unplugged lifestyle. As we continued on our journey, we adopted that unplugged lifestyle, paying attention to the rich colors found in the earth. It was almost like the colors became hypnotic, leading us to a warm earthy twist on minimalism. Paying attention to the refractions of light, transformed us into a world of pastels. The light creates warmth in these normally cool tints of color. Upon researching art and then color theories, we found josef albers. A color theorist i drew great inspiration from. There is great beauty to be found in dissidence, created through the juxtaposition of certain colors.
Autum/Winter 2016 color stories have a focus on the surrounding natural world. With the anthropologic trends of full transparency, and living a more sustainable lifestyle, I feel this is what is to be expected. Turn the page, and embark on a journey discovering new perspectives on color in the world around us.
Enjoy,,
Erin Nicole Kelley Editor-In-Chief .
