Excellence in client service Proximity is an exciting application, offered exclusively to preferred MDS clients, that allows a direct access to MDS services. Operating as a private extranet, Proximity delivers a smooth and pleasant user experience 24/7 and makes it easier than ever for clients to safely manage their insurance programs and policies, while staying in permanent contact with their MDS representative. Many features are available such as reviewing policy data, making change requests, managing the claim process step by step, consulting detailed reports, and more. From establishing a quick and direct line to the MDS account manager, to allowing 24/7 access to the data that matters most for the business, Proximity brings MDS closer to clients every day.
Requested by clients The development of Proximity is a combination of MDS knowledge of technology and ongoing conversations with business users. The company believes in the power of listening to clients and partners to gain a greater understanding of their critical needs and concerns. With Proximity, MDS puts that understanding to use. The desire to maintain an efficient relationship with clients is evident throughout the user experience, and most of the features are modeled after specific client preferences and requests. Proximity’s peerless ease of use and its set of productivity features do not just come from MDS, it comes mainly from clients.
More than just information... Policies Insurance policies can be searched and viewed in Proximity. 1 - Search: Any policy can be searched using various criteria such as company, date of policy, product type etc. There are up to 15 criteria available for searching the policies. The search results pages are sortable by any of those criteria and can be saved. 2 - Policy Details: There is a comprehensive set of information available for each policy. The client can initiate a request to change the policy details such as including or excluding a risk, or changing the policy objects. 3 - Change Request: Most of the changes to the policy require to expedite the workflow engine to obtain the approval from the relevant authority. Once it is approved and finalized, it is sent to the insurance carrier for implementation As many change requests occur on a weekly basis, the status of each request is communicated to the client as soon as the insurance carrier approves it.
Quotes 1 - Request a Quote: The client can request a quote anytime on any services and products by submitting the appropriate form available in the application. 2 - Change a Quote: A discussion thread is initiated between the client and the MDS account manager to comment and adjust the quote.
...an interactive tool Claims Claims can be searched and viewed in Proximity. 1 - Search: Any claim can be searched using criteria such as company, date of claim, product type etc. The search results are sortable by any criteria and can be saved. The results are used to conveniently and quickly search specific type of claim. 2 - Claim details: There is a comprehensive set of information available for each claim. The client can request additional information and initiate a discussion thread with the MDS account manager. Â 3 - Change Request: Any change request is initiated via a user friendly interface.
Payments & Receipts The client can access to the history of payments along with the receipts. 1 - Search: The clients can locate a specific payment and the related receipt entered in the system. Many payments and receipts are created on a regular basis thus requesting a reliable search capability. 2 - Receipt Details: There is a comprehensive set of information available for each payment and receipt. 3 - Account Statement: MDS sends out monthly account statements describing the invoices and payments as well as the current balance. The document provides a complete view of the client account.
