01 POE Lubricants
ERRECOM’s synthetic polyolester (POE) refrigeration lubricants are characterised by high thermal, chemical and hydrolytic stability. Due to their good miscibility, POE lubricants are compatible with all chlorine-free refrigerants, FC refrigerants, and with HFC refrigerants such as R134a, R404a, R507, R410a, R407c. ERRECOM’s POE lubricants can also be used with hydrocarbon refrigerants such as propane (R290) and propylene (R1270). Furthermore, their use has already been successfully tested with low-GWP refrigerants such as HFOs (e.g. R1234yf, R1234ze). Lastly, ERRECOM’s POEs have also been tested with new refrigerants designed to replace R22, such as R422a/D and R417a. Our POE lubricants are recommended for use in hermetic, semi-hermetic and open compressors as well as screw compressors and turbochargers (depending on viscosity). Due to their high viscosity indices, ERRECOM POEs have excellent cold flow properties and a highly stable lubricating film under high-temperature conditions in hydrocarbon applications. ERRECOM’s POE lubricants are characterised by high stability and excellent lubrication. POEs are hygroscopic, which means that they tend to absorb water more quickly than non-polar hydrocarbonbased refrigeration oils such as mineral ones, alkyl benzene and PAO. Precisely for this reason, all ERRECOM POEs are ultra-dry and filled in plastic bottles and metal tanks specially designed to ensure protection against moisture.

CO2 - POE Lubricants
The Montreal Protocol bans CFCs and HCFCs aiming to protect the ozone layer while the Kyoto Protocol aims to reduce greenhouse gases and, thus, global warming. F-Gas Il, on the other hand, aims to progressively reduce the use of HFCs and high GWP (global warming potential) refrigerants. These laws encourage the use of R744 (CO2). Carbon dioxide (R744) has been used as a refrigerant since the last century with the introduction of industrial refrigeration systems. R744 has excellent thermodynamic properties and is an environmentally friendly refrigerant (with the lowest GWP and ODP). Its use has grown as it is not only a natural refrigerant but also extremely effective, both in specially designed industrial systems such as supermarket refrigerators and heat pump water heaters. Errecom's CO2 - POE lubricants are high-performance polyol ester-based synthetic lubricants specially developed for CO2 applications. CO2 - POEs are available in 5 different viscosity grades to meet the requirements of a full range of R744 systems. They are characterised by good miscibility, fluidity, and stability. Thanks to their branched molecular structure and the high-performance additive package included in the formulation, they also provide good lubrication with better overall performance than classic POEs over a wide temperature range. More precisely, Errecom's CO2 - POE lubricants contain excellent additive packages (anti-oxidants, anti-corrosives, anti-foaming) carefully selected to: ■ optimise miscibility with CO2, thus increasing heat exchange even in the low-temperature zone; ■ reduce the formation of foam, usually present at compressor start-up; ■ increase its lubricating capacity; ■ protect against materials, even under extreme operating conditions. They are also characterised by low toxicity and high biodegradability. CO2 - POEs can be used for both subcritical (e.g. low-temperature cooling stages in supermarket cascade refrigeration systems) and transcritical (e.g. medium-temperature cooling stages in supermarkets) applications. CO2 - PAG Lubricants
Carbon dioxide (R744) is the natural refrigerant identified as the future ozone-friendly technology. In the last years, the sector has recorded impressive technological development in CO2-based systems for commercial and industrial applications, especially as far as it concerns CO2 refrigeration and heat pumps. CO2 – PAG lubricants are composed of innovative double-end-capped polyalkylene glycols specially designed to operate under high pressure and high-temperature conditions typical of CO2. They provide highly efficient lubrication for CO2 compressors and optimised miscibility with the refrigerant to ensure wear protection even at the highest levels of CO2 dilution, where alternative lubricants such as PAO or ABZ can reveal hydrodynamic lubrication loss. Errecom’s CO2 - PAGs are OEM-approved for commercial and industrial refrigeration systems working with CO2 and are available in different viscosities (between ISO 46-100). CO2 – PAGs are characterised by: ■ double-end-capped technology with optimised miscibility with CO2: it maximises the oil return to the compressor to ensure full system efficiency, without loss of hydrodynamic or lubrication properties; ■ excellent lubricating properties even under extreme pressure and high-temperature conditions; ■ high-performance additives: they ensure excellent thermal, chemical and hydrolytic stability, and reduce downtime and maintenance costs; ■ low hygroscopicity: it ensures lower water absorption than alternative R744 technologies (POE, PAO, Alkylbenzenes); ■ compatibility with metal and plastic components: it ensures optimised system’s stability and durability; ■ high viscosity index and low pour point: they guarantee the full efficiency of the system and excellent lubricating properties even under extreme pressure.

HC - PAG Lubricants HC - PAG lubricants are blends of polyalkylene glycols chosen among the best-performing and most innovative organic molecules on the market. In addition to the double-end-capped technology, they are characterised by excellent additive packages. The additives contained in HC - PAGs, regardless of their viscosity, make it possible to: ■ increase lubricity ■ improve chemical stability ■ reduce hygroscopicity ■ increase the anti-wear and anti-corrosion protection ■ ensure high solubility and miscibility. Over time, PAG lubricants, which have originally been developed for automotive applications, have also proved excellent for use with natural refrigerants, such as propane and butane. HC - PAGs are characterised by: ■ insoluble base in water: ensures high lubrication performance in HVAC/R compressors; ■ high viscosity index: ensures excellent lubrication, low wear and excellent performance at extreme pressures; ■ specific additives for HVAC/R applications: provides excellent thermal conductivity and protection against oxidation and corrosion; ■ high flash point for safe use even at high temperatures; ■ double-end-capped technology: ensures low hygroscopicity, high chemical and thermal stability and optimised miscibility with refrigerant gases; ■ biodegradable and safe for humans and the environment.

NH3 - PAG Lubricants To address climate problems associated with ozone depletion and global warming, alternative refrigerant gases have emerged in the HVAC/R sector, including low-GWP HFCs such as R1234yf and halogen-free refrigerant gases, including NH3 (R717), propane (R290), isobutane (R600a) and carbon dioxide (R744). Errecom’s NH3 – PAG lubricants, which have been specially formulated to be used with NH3, are based on the ‘capped PAG’ technology. This technology is characterized by chemically inactive groups at both ends of the molecule, unlike typical polyalkylene glycols generally consisting of polymer chains with a terminal hydroxyl group (chemically active end). Therefore, NH3 – PAG lubricants provide excellent lubrication for compression refrigeration systems and better lubrication properties for ammonia refrigeration systems. NH3 – PAG lubricants offer the following pros: good miscibility with NH3 over a wide range of lubricant concentrations and temperatures; ■ low hygroscopicity compared to the inclination of uncapped PAG to absorb water; ■ high chemical, thermal and hydrolytic stability; ■ excellent lubrication power. ■

ERRECOM’s mineral oils are highly refined hydrotreated naphthenic bases enhanced by additives that ensure: ■ high ageing stability, ■ low pour point, ■ excellent low-temperature behaviour, ■ good compatibility with ammonia (NH3), HCFCs (e.g. R22), hydrocarbons (e.g. propane R290, propylene R1270). The high solvent power and excellent low-temperature properties lead to good floc points for the refrigerant-oil mixture. As it is wax-free, ERRECOM’s mineral oil has a low pour point and good cold pour properties. At high temperatures, ERRECOM’s mineral oil has a higher flash point than other products on the market and high thermal and chemical stability. It does not corrode iron, copper, and aluminium.

Vacuum Pump Oils ERRECOM’s Vacuum Pump Oils are blends of carefully selected mineral oils with low vapour pressure and a tight distillation range to ensure the best performance in terms of lubrication of vacuum pumps, including rotary vane pumps. The main features of Errecom’s mineral oils are: ■ High thermal stability: it can be used in closed systems
operating even at high temperatures and high pressures avoiding the growth of deposits and sludge;
■ high oxidation stability: it extends the charge in operation,
thus preventing the viscosity of the product from increasing too early;

HFO - PAG Lubricants
R1234yf even for ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Before the development of eco-friendly refrigerants such as CO2 and HFO, R134a was the most widely used HFC refrigerant for automotive applications. HFO - PAG lubricants are polyalkylene glycol-based lubricants specially formulated and developed for application with R1234yf in vehicle air conditioning systems. The double bond in the molecular structure of R1234yf makes this refrigerant much more chemically reactive than R134a. The formulation of HFO - PAG solves this problem and maximises the miscibility of the HFO. Precisely for this reason, ERRECOM’s HFO - PAGs differ from the standard PAGs used with R134a by different factors. ■ ■
The basic chemical structure of the lubricant, which in the case of HFO - PAGs is a double-end-capped PAG, while in the case of PAGs for R134a it is single-end-capped The additive package used, which, to ensure the long-term performance of HFO - PAGs, has been developed according to the operating conditions required by HFO - PAG when operating with R1234yf.

The Montreal Protocol bans CFCs and HCFCs aiming to protect the ozone layer while the Kyoto Protocol aims to reduce greenhouse gases and, thus, global warming. F-Gas Il, on the other hand, aims to progressively reduce the use of HFCs and high GWP (global warming potential) refrigerants. These laws encourage the use of R744 (CO2). CO2 – PAG lubricants are composed of innovative polyalkylene glycols, characterised by double-end-capped technology, and specially designed to operate under the high pressure and high-temperature conditions typical of CO2. Our CO2 – PAG lubricants are OEM approved to work in commercial and industrial AC/R systems operating with CO2 and are available in different viscosities (between ISO 46-100).

E - POE Lubricants
R134a - R1234yf specific for ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Errecom’s POEs are synthetic lubricants specially formulated for electric compressors. They are composed of a blend of polyol esters and additives carefully chosen to obtain better lubricity compared to common POEs, good chemical and thermal stability and excellent wear protection for the components of the A/C system of hybrid or electric vehicles. E-POEs are particularly suitable for non-ozone-depleting refrigerants such as FC and HFC (R134a, R404A, R507, R410A, R407C). They are also Analytical Physical Quantity Measured E- POE 68 E- POE 80 E - POE 100 compatible with hydrocarbon refrigerants, (Unit of Measurement) Reference Method and HFO refrigerants such as HFO-1234yf 68 80 100 ISO VG and HFO-1234ze. They are characterised by 68 80 100 ASTM-D445 Kinematic Viscosity @ 40°C (cSt) optimal miscibility with such refrigerants even 8,9 12 11 ASTM-D445 Kinematic Viscosity @ 100°C (cSt) at the lowest temperatures. Errecom’s E-POEs are characterised by:
branched POE technology: it ensures chemical stability in vehicle A/C systems; ■ low moisture and acid content: it minimises acid growth during the life of the system; ■ excellent electrical insulation properties: it makes the A/C lubricant suitable for use in hermetically sealed systems. ■

Vacuum Pump Oils ERRECOM’s Vacuum Pump Oils are blends of carefully selected mineral oils with low vapour pressure and a tight distillation range to ensure the best performance in terms of lubrication of vacuum pumps, including rotary vane pumps. The main features of Errecom’s mineral oils are: ■ High thermal stability: it can be used in closed systems
operating even at high temperatures and high pressures avoiding the growth of deposits and sludge;
■ high oxidation stability: it extends the charge in operation,
thus preventing the viscosity of the product from increasing too early;
■ high hydrolytic stability: it protects the oil from
