Who runs the World : Women ! | SPECIAL

Women have amazing potential to handle multiple platforms with ease, often underestimated women have actively chosen to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, and have always proven the naysayers wrong. International Women’s Day 2020 aims to elaborate upon the theme #EachforEqual, an equal world is an enabled world. The city of Hyderabad is not devout of amazing women who are juggling various responsibilities together, we reached out to these superwomen to share their stories. - By Syeda Inas Inayath

When you have unconditional love for life, we must learn to value and appreciate the brief lives that is all we have on this planet. There is absolutely no time to waste. Being an independent woman in today’s day and age relies on your ability to juggle multiple duties at once, to be efficient the first thing to do is to take care of our Mental and physical health along with being extremely mindful about what you do, to make yourself strong and reliant on no one but yourself the rest will fall into place effortlessly.

Nikki Reddy Owner Nail Talk- Nail Salon. I am a working woman and a mother of a toddler. My biggest challenge like most women is balancing work life with family with which comes the stress and guilt for not being to give equal time to family especially my kid. Since women wear a lot of hats that include but are not limited to being a mom, chauffeur, chef, wife, daughter, boss and many more! All through these years, I’ve realized that maintaining work-life balance requires constant adjustments, compromises, and sacrifices. It’s better to be prepared and learn to make the most of your time and energy. Keep your priorities right, it is the biggest mantra to successfully juggle your personal and professional life. I try my best to leave work to work. I don’t usually come home with it, try not to be on the phone, emails while I am spending time with my partner, kid, family! Making out some time to do things you actually love is the secret to maintaining a perfect work-life balance. Most importantly women often overlook their own health and well-being in order to take care of all the competing priorities of their career and family.Sometimes, it’s okay to think about yourself, have some leisure time and pamper yourself. Go to a spa, get a massage, watch reruns of your favorite TV series, read a book, travel solo, or just do nothing at all. Learn to take care of yourself because only then you would be able to take care of your family and your work. I believe that if you really want to do something for yourself and have a dream don’t step back just that you need to get married or have a kid all this is a part and parcel of life even if you don’t do anything they will happen! So just go ahead and start working on what you want to do and just have confidence in whatever you are doing and rest all will fall in place.

I think as women, we are an INCREDIBLE life force. If we set our mind to do something, we have the power to make it happen, come hell or high water. We have to just believe in ourselves and believe we deserve to make a decision about our lives. In the 21st century, I find it amazing that women are given and have so many choices than ever before to do what they want to in life, irrespective of their education. It is up to us to seize the day and take the chance and prove to society that we have made the right decision. Career options that weren’t possible before are now achievable and very very real so ideally we should be breaking down all barriers consistently to achieve success

Anything is possible with mind and heart. We need to love what we do. Every person is a multitasker when it comes to their passion. According to me I love my work which I am passionate about. As I love my home, my family comes first. My family is very supportive in helping me with the work at home and in business too. I feel like being a woman is great and family and a best team at work helping you and understanding you make you become a stronger woman. I feel safer and stronger when I am with my family. My backbone and my strength are my brother ( SANJAY KUMAR REDDY) , my dad and mom always pushing me harder even when I am in my downs. I never felt exasperated juggling with work and home, as I consider both as my love.

Growing up, I was always in awe of beauty and anything beauty related. I collected Sephora makeup and skin care products when it wasn’t even an “Instagram” trend in Hyderabad. So after completing my Bachelors in Computer Engineering with Distinction, I wanted to follow my passion but at the same time have my priorities sorted at home. I would usually juggle cooking, run errands and complete house chores while filming makeup videos for my IG at 2am! All because I wanted to push my limits and be perfect at anything thrown at me. And guess what, I’m glad I did! This Women’s Day, I owe it to my mother who continues to be a pillar of strength behind me and leading force ahead! She stood by me to follow my passion in this conservative society where being an MUA is considered a passion not a profession. However we’re so far ahead in times now that everyone’s taking it up and how! I got certified by world class MUA SAMER Khouzami. In addition, I was chosen to be the beauty ambassador by the first of its kind “BeautyLand” festival in India. And the cherry on the

cake was the VIP invitation to the VOGUE Bridal Fashion Show 2019. It seems surreal at times but in a short span, I was able to imbibe knowledge from working alongside great and aspiring WOMEN in the fields of Beauty, Designers, and Photographers to my own mother. I struck a balance that makes me so content in life because we can do whatever we set our minds on! More power to you!

Khateeja Khan Makeup Artist (Katz Beauty)

Being a wife, being a working woman and most importantly being a mother is definitely not as easy as it sounds, most of the days it’s manageable thanks to my working hours which are flexible, but some days it does take a toll on me. Looking after the household chores, looking after my son and finishing work deadlines leaves me with no time for myself. As an Indian woman, we also have to always be available for family and friends and sometimes I do feel the pressure building up. I try to manage and organise my week in advance so that I don’t have any pending assignments by the end. I try to schedule my mornings and evenings so that I can spare at Least an hour for myself to relax and workout. And most importantly, thanks to my Husband, who has been very supportive in the hour of need, he is always there to help me out whenever required. It’s not always -behind every successful man, there’s a woman; but also in today’s time it’s vice versa! Only when you get ample support and appreciation from family is when you can work towards achieving your goals be it man or woman.
