I COVER STORY

How did you get attracted to acting?

Theatre started as a character-building exercise one summer for this 11-year-old. Soon there was no looking back. Theatre, dance videos, YouTube sketches, web series, and finally films.

Who are your biggest influences?

My mom and dad are the biggest influencers in my life, on one hand, my dad taught me under the sun about the world how principles are formulated how beliefs are built and what differences between right and wrong can mean for different people, and on the other hand, my mom taught me about energy and universe and the magical ways of life. Nature and magic and love.

Which fictional character would be the most exciting to meet in real life?

I think if I could meet Chitti in real life it would be the most exciting because then I would get to tell her that I got to play her (Laughs..)

What, according to you, is the best part of your work?

The best part of my work is that every day I am doing something that I love doing no one day goes without me being grateful for what I am doing, you know there are so many people who don’t get to do what they love this is a blessing for me.

Every industry, including the entertainment industry, is full of competition; what do you do to stand out amidst competition?

I don’t like to think of it as a competition. I’ve never really liked competition in the first place I believe in individuality and I believe that every one USP is what makes them stand out I took my time to understand what my core is about what my soul is about & what my USP is and I just build on it and I grew with it so the more I give energy to myself the more I stand out and the more I think about competition and think about what other people are doing it just going to bring a lot of clutter to my mind so I don’t think about it or at least I try not to think about it as we are human only at last.

What is the first thing you do to research and approach a role?

There are multiple ways but one of the first things I do to understand a character is understand what the childhood would have been like so I sit with the director and discuss what kind of friends this character would have had, what kind of schooling, what kind of parenting did she grow up with. Did they have any difficulties as a kid I think childhood makes a lot of your adult life in how you are and how you behave it depends at the end of the day on how your childhood was.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time I dance I meet friends I dance with them I make videos I read I paint I chill with my cat Sebastian and I love eating so I spend time eating new things and trying new places.

What’s there on your to-do bucket list?

My to-do bucket list has a world tour I mean not at once but I would want to visit at least 90 percent places of in the world.

Has the journey been fairly easy, and if not, what obstacles have you had to overcome?

The journey I don’t know if it was easy or difficult but it’s been smooth for sure because of the people around me who have guided me and who have been through as support as my backbone friends and family so yeah it helps that way.

Any upcoming projects/roles you can talk about?

My upcoming project Like Share and Subscribe is set to release on the 4th of November 2022 it is an adventure comedy and there are a lot of fun elements in the film starring Santosh Sobhan and directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. Some of the things I am very excited about this year it’s my only release this year by the way. So, it's super special and I am playing this character called Vasudha who is a Vlogger and a YouTuber which is one of these new characters you can say in a way they haven’t come up before so yeah, it's super exciting.
