What a scorching month it has been! Thank you for sharing your feedback on the course and its impeccable condition even during trying times I’ve relayed your comments to the team It’s been quite a challenge, but our dedicated crew has been hard at work to ensure an exceptional golfing experience every month.

Our aerification processes for the year are complete, and we ’ re anticipating fantastic greens starting in September As we move into late summer and early fall, we’ll be performing additional top dressing to guarantee smooth and firm greens

Participating in the Scratch League alongside many of you has been an absolute blast Wednesday evenings have become a fixture in my schedule, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my time on the course The quality of play has been outstanding If you haven't yet joined us, make sure to come out We’ve seen over $400 in skins (cash) as weekly prizes Last month's standout, Thomas Bannon, claimed all the winnings as the sole skin winner

Trivia night was a delightful experience, and I’m grateful to my team for putting together a wonderful evening of food and entertainment. Looking forward to having everyone join us for Bingo this month.

This month brings the excitement of crowning our new Club Champions Achieving the title of Champion golfer is truly remarkable Keith, Terry, and Jordan have been exceptional champions, and I am confident they will put up a strong defense Best of luck to everyone in this year ’ s Championship

Get ready for the upcoming Member Guest event, now known as The BlackHorse Derby This year's tournament promises an exciting blend of on-course competition and off-course engagement Don’t forget to visit the pro shop and register your team –it’s an experience you won't want to miss

We are excited to share some important news that marks the beginning of a new chapter for our golf course As we bid farewell to our past and welcome the future, there are exciting developments on the horizon.

After eight years of dedicated service, Golf Course Superintendent, David Franks, will be moving on to new opportunities. We extend our gratitude for his contributions in maintaining the conditions of our course and helping to create memorable golfing moments.

As we embark on this new journey, I want to assure you that our commitment to delivering an exceptional golfing experience remains stronger than ever We are diligently searching for a new golf course superintendent who will uphold the high standards and help move our course and Club forward

Our search for the right candidate is guided by the passion, dedication, and expertise that you, our members, deserve We are confident that the incoming superintendent will not only continue the legacy we cherish but also bring fresh ideas and perspectives to elevate our golfing experience

Your support and enthusiasm during this transitional period mean the world to us We invite you to stay connected and share your thoughts as we work towards welcoming our new Superintendent with open arms

During this time of transition, work continues here with moving the Club forward! At the end of August, both courses had a light topdressing. This caused little to no disruption to play in the short run. In the long run, this process will contribute to smoother ball roll and firmer green surfaces. Pictured above is the 11th green that has this top dress work complete After applying this thin dusting of sand, the greens are watered in and if you play the next day, you would never know work was done

PHOTO OF THE MONTH - SEPTEMBER

This photo of the month was sent in by Becky Frederickson and she has won her choice of a guest pass or a $25 gift card to the Club The photo, taken at dusk toward the end of August, features our Par-5 ninth hole on the south course. With a great tee shot, many of our Members can take a crack at the green in two, but with trouble looming everywhere but short, a demanding second, or third, shot always awaits. Thanks Becky for the great photo. Be sure to send in your photos all month long in September for your chance to win and be featured!
