Our Club had the opportunity to host the Women’s Southern Golf Association--one of the longest running women ’ s amateur organizations in the country The second week of June brought both the 2023 WSGA Amateur & Mid-Amateur Championships played simultaneously on the Tournament Course The action started with a one-day qualifier for seeding into championship and secondary flights, and the next three days featured Match Play to determine the winner of both marquee events. The competition was fierce and by the end of the last day of competition, the two champions were crowned Our Members will remember a familiar name Emma McMyler, who claimed victory in the 101st Women’s Texas Amateur a mere eleven months ago It took 19 holes to defeat Grace Jin, the tournament’s number one seed who fired a staggering 64 in the qualifying round Lucy Nunn captured the Mid-Amateur title with her victory over Dawn Woodard in a 5 & 3 margin

Connie Bousquet, WSGA President complimented our entire team for their hosting role “On behalf of the WSGA , I just wanted to thank you and your staff for the wonderful first class Championships GCOH afforded us!
