BACTERIA IN DIFFERENT DAYTIMES OBJECTIVE To investigate if the daytime influences on the number of bacteria in classrooms. HYPOTESIS At 5 o’clock there will be more microorganisms than other times. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN ·

MATERIAL

3 Petri dishes Ruler Permanent maker Oven Microscope ·

METHOD

1. First of all we wrote the time of the day on the petri dish with the permanent maker. 2. Then we put one petri dish on a cupboard at 10:50. We closed at 11:05. 3. After we put another petri dish on the same cupboard at 1:15. We closed at 1:30. 4. Then we put the last petri dish on the same cupboard at 4:45. We closed at 5:00. 5. Then we put them in the oven for two weeks, in order to let bacteria grow. 6. Two weeks later we observed the petri dishes with the microscope and we measured the diameter and the number of colonies of each petri dish. RESULTS Chart
