Barcelona’s offer in culture and creativity will amaze you; from theatre and opera to contemporary dance and underground festivals. The art scene of the city includes constant exhibitions at museums, art galleries, and music venues and festivals such as Sónar, Primavera Sound, and International Jazz Festival. Also including design festivals, such as Blanc Fest, OFFF Barcelona, Typo Berlin, The Influencers, etc.

Barcelona’s public transport system is reliable and easy to navigate. Metro, buses, trains and trams operate throughout the city and its suburbs so you won’t have any problem going around Barcelona and discovering other close cities and towns. Plus, the city is starting to get bikefriendly little by little. There are plenty of places to rent this type of sustainable transport. Barcelona is the perfect base from which to explore many Europe’s finest cities and regions. All two ESDi campuses are at the heart of their local neighbourhoods, so you will be perfectly placed to enjoy these dynamic communities and all that Barcelona & Sabadell has to offer.

It usually never snows in the city and its surroundings, but in winter you’ll find excellent snowfields in the Pyrenees Mountains just over three hours away.

Barcelona is located in the region of Catalonia, northeast of Spain. There are lots of unique attractions that are easily accessible as day trips, such as: 1 Cadaqués, where Dalí, Duchamp and Picasso spent long periods of their lifetime

Academics Teaching Methods Teaching at ESDi is practised-based and is delivered in a variety of ways, including individual and group tutorials, industry projects, seminars, lectures, studio, museum and gallery visits. ESDi Official Undergraduate Degree in Design is taught by professors and team members of a recognised career in the design field. Academic programme is based on three knowledge areas: theoretical, instrumental and of projects; subjects are distributed harmoniously among the three areas to achieve the foreseen aims all along the 4 years. You will take between 20 and 30 ECTS per semester while you are here, depending on which course you choose and how long you stay

The credit system at ESDi All our Degrees at ESDi are credit rated. You are awarded credit points when learning is successfully assessed and you have completed all the required assignments. Most Western European countries have moved to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). This system was developed by the European Commission (UE) to provide common overseas procedures for recognizing studies completed within participating countries within Europe. In ECTS terms, 60 credits represent the full-time load of an academic year of study and 30 credits represent the full-time load of an academic semester of study.

Record of study At the end of your time here, we will provide you with a record of study and achievement, which gives details of the units you have studied with the number of credits.
