Camps Overview
Great summer experiences. In all shapes and sizes. No two campers are alike. And from one year to the next their interests and curiosities change and grow. Their summer experiences should, as well. ESF’s summer programs play at many levels, with each activity designed to appeal to its specific age group. So every camp, at every age, promises something new. Because one size does not fit all.

Tennis Camp Boys & Girls ages 6-15
203.869.4444 esfcamps.com/Greenwich
Where tennis is fun and improvement is guaranteed. In 1982, ESF launched its very first camp — a tennis camp for local campers. Today, the ESF tennis program is the premier destination for education and improvement in the sport. From beginners to the tournament-bound, under the guidance of experts, ESF Tennis Camp instills confidence for winning on and off the court.
3 LEVELS OF PLAY Learn the Basics For the beginner player, learn the fundamentals of the game: proper grip, racquet preparation, forehand, backhand, volley, serve, return of serve, overhead, footwork, and basic scoring. Campers feel comfortable and confident on the court while experiencing steady improvement. Refine Your Strokes For the intermediate player, develop and refine basic strokes with a focus on consistency, footwork, shot selection, and strategy. Campers further develop first and second serves, approach shots, and net game through instruction and match play.
AT A GLANCE AGEs 6-15 Boys & Girls Campers grouped by age and skill level. SESSIONS & HOURS 1-9 weeks, June 15 – August 14 Monday – Friday Full day: 9am – 3pm Morning: 9am – 12pm Afternoon: 12:30pm – 3pm Extended Day: 8am – 6pm
Fine Tune Your Game For the advanced player, identify and build on strengths and turn them into powerful on-court weapons. Greater emphasis is placed on situation awareness, stamina, foot speed, competitive match play, and the development of individual styles of play. Campers fine tune passing shots, ball control and placement, and learn the key points of tournament play, how to make important on-court decisions, and how to compete against players of various styles. Campers can expect a higher level of training and coaching intensity.
Every DAY • Conditioning & Biomechanics • Individual & Group Instruction • Match Play • Recreational Swimming (Optional) • Skills Development • Stroke Refinement
