Sign language is more than hand gestures it’s a beautiful, visually perceived language in which facial expressions and body movements are used to communicate words, emotions, and sound. This TLA gives you the tools to interact and communicate with the world around you in a completely different way. Work with your instructors to customize your ASL experience and showcase your newly acquired language by signing a song, poem, skit and more at the end of the week.

NEW! EMOJI ART: DIGITAL GRAPHICS WEEK OF JULY 1-5 Everyone loves emoji’s - those cute and colorful symbols that communicate more than emotions! In this creative TLA, you will use digital graphics to layer emoji’s of different sizes, colors and shapes to create self-portraits, landscapes, and creative works of art. At the end of the week, print out and mat your favorite creation made from these iconic symbols to display at ESF’s first-ever Emoji Art Exhibition.

CAMP CARNIVAL, CIRCUS SKILLS AND MAGIC WEEK OF JULY 8-12 In one of our most-anticipated traditions in Senior Camp, you will have the opportunity

to design and build a Carnival from the ground up. Learn face painting techniques and how to create balloon animals. Become proficient in juggling, clowning and sleight of hand magic tricks. INDIE GAME DEVELOPER IN ROBLOX® Learn what it takes to produce a real video game in this introduction to programming and game design. Using the massively popular Roblox® gaming platform, campers use drag-and-drop tools, the LUA programming language and a healthy dose of creativity to develop real, functioning games. MAKE A SPLASH AT THE POOL! Swimming is one of the most exciting parts of the camp day. Under the guidance and watchful eye of our American Red Cross certified lifeguards and instructors, campers develop life skills too valuable to measure while learning how to swim confidently in a safe and fun environment. We maintain a low staff to camper ratio.

We develop swimmers utilizing the latest teaching techniques and coaching methods.

DAILY “DROP-IN” RATES

Extend your camp day by using ESF’s Club OT program, on a weekly or a dropin basis. Start your day as early as 8:00am and stay as late as 6:00pm.

AM Drop Off

Club OT campers are divided into groups by age and will enjoy NEW and ENHANCED activities including sports, games, crafts, book club, drama, and more. Afternoon snacks and refreshments are provided.

HOW TO ENROLL APPLICATION PROCESS

Go online to esfcamps.com/Riverdale and click ENROLL NOW. Our “Save Your Cart” feature allows you to start your enrollment selections, save them, share them with family and friends, and then finish enrollment at a later time.

Once your enrollment is complete, you will receive a confirmation email and an order receipt. If you are an alumni family, we encourage you to use the same email address you used to enroll last camp season. The portal will give you access to 1) your camper’s enrollment, 2) add lunches or Tennis clinics, 3) pay balances and/or 4) complete any online supplemental camp forms required before the start of camp.

PAYMENTS

A 15% deposit will be due at the time of enrollment. The balance of tuition is due

by June 1 or June 15, 2019 (depending on the monthly payment option selected at time of registration). Registrations after June 15, 2019, will be required to be paid in full at time of enrollment.

GROUPING REQUESTS

If you would like your child grouped with a specific friend, please list their first and last name on the online application.

Grouped campers MUST be entering the same grade next fall.

HEALTH HISTORY RECORD

For the health and safety of all campers, no child will be allowed to attend camp without a completed ESF Health History Record on file.

LIMITED ENROLLMENT

To maintain a low camper to staff ratio and to ensure a quality experience for your child, applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

GENERAL INFORMATION TRANSPORTATION

Optional bus transportation is available for families located throughout the New York City area and Westchester County.

Please refer to page 32 for details.

Families also have the option of droppingoff and picking-up at camp.

CAMP T-SHIRT

All campers will receive an official camp t-shirt. Please indicate your child’s shirt size during online enrollment.

OPTIONAL LUNCH PROGRAM Campers may bring their lunch and drink to camp which we refrigerate, or they can participate in our lunch program for an additional cost of $60/ week*. To sign up, please check the appropriate box during online enrollment.

Please note: The lunch program is not available during the week of August 12-16, 2019. *Reduced lunch rate offered 4th of July week.

REFRESHMENTS & SNACKS

Campers are provided with a snack and beverage each day. Water coolers and fountains are easily accessible to campers throughout the day.

TOWEL SERVICE

For your convenience, we offer daily towel service at no extra charge. Campers do not need to bring towels to camp.

CANCELLATIONS & CREDIT POLICY

If you need to cancel your child’s enrollment, you must notify us in writing

by April 1, 2019. Full cancellations made on or prior to this date are subject to a $100 fee, per child, and a registration fee of $50 per family. If cancellation is made after April 1 through May 1, 2019, we will issue you a credit for all tuition fees paid, valid through the following calendar year. Your credit is transferable to any family member and may be used for any ESF program. Please Note: no refunds or credits will be given out after May 2, 2019 regardless of your registration date, vacation, or illness. Changes in enrolled weeks are based on availability. Effective June 1, 2019 a $25.00 transfer fee will be applied for enrollment changes made once camp starts.

Families have the option of dropping-off and picking-up at camp. Regular camp hours are 9:00AM to 3:45PM. Families needing an earlier drop off time (starting at 8AM) and late pick up (no later than 6PM) may take advantage of our extended day program, Club O.T. Prior to the start of camp, you will receive all required information and security cards. Our Drop-Off & Pick-Up process is designed to be safe, easy and convenient.
