OVERNIGHT ADVENTURE EXPEDITION CAMP (AGES 10-15) 1 week (August 4-8) A unique, week-long overnight experience where ESF campers from PA, NJ, CT, NY & MD come together for fun, friendship, and leadership-based adventure programming. Highlights include: fishing, canoeing, hiking, biking, sports, art, swimming, high and low ropes course challenges, team-building initiatives, an introduction to outdoor living skills, special events and more. A challenging experience in a supportive and nurturing environment to develop the leader within. Overnight camp is held in Lawrenceville, NJ. Transportation to and from the overnight camp will be provided.

Culinary Arts: A Taste of Italy

1 week Learn the laws of motion and the physics of rocket flight. Construct your own CO2 solid fuel rocket and countdown to lift-off at the annual ESF Rocket Launch.

1 week Put on your apron, roll up your sleeves, and follow us into the kitchen for a week of mouthwatering fun. Guided by an executive chef, create and enjoy palate-pleasing dishes from various regions of Italy. Learn about food preparation and kitchen safety, explore helpful hints for measuring, chopping, mixing, and garnishing, and much more. The final course is “An Italian Food Festival,” including your delectable creations, Italian music, and, of course, a Bocce Tournament! Mangia Italiano!

Digital Photography 1 week Study master photographers and learn how to use a digital camera. Develop artistic ideas through composition, depth, and lighting for the annual ESF Gallery Exhibition.

Carnival, Circus & Magic 1 week Design, build, and host the annual ESF Camp Carnival, one of our most-anticipated traditions. Learn juggling, clowning and sleight of hand magic tricks.

Outdoor Adventure (Rockwall) 1 week Conquer a 40-foot Rockwall with challenges for each skill level, under the watchful eye of experienced instructors. For self-discovery, teambuilding, problem-solving, decision-making and leadership development. Includes wilderness survival tips, outdoor living skills, trail ethics and more.

Musical Theater (Peter Pan) 2 weeks Learn everything from the fine art of stage performance to the behind-the-scenes basics of theater production for the big premiere performance of this Broadway hit for family and friends on the last day.

Songwriting & Music Production 1 week Explore fundamentals with a professional producer. Compose and record your own hit song with high-tech, multimedia technology. For the grand finale, perform at the annual ESF Music Awards.

Swimming at ESF We develop swimmers utilizing the latest teaching techniques and coaching methods. Beginning with water safety skills and basic fundamentals, we then move on to progressive stroke development and refinement of techniques. Our well-established program is designed to be compatible with the unique and ever-changing abilities and skill levels of each camper. ESF also offers private swim instruction to campers who are interested in devoting more time to enhancing their skills. Day Camp (Age 4-8) With daily instructional swimming, campers receive an initial skill assessment and then progress at their own pace. Progress reports sent home weekly.

After Camp ESF also offers private swim instruction to campers who are interested in devoting more time to enhancing their skills. We also offer Swim Team to those who are seeking advanced level training in the sport of competitive swimming.

Private Swim Instruction Available under the guidance and direction of our Red Cross Certified Instructors and Lifeguards. Lessons are designed to be compatible with individual camper needs and skill levels. To enroll, please call the camp office. All lessons are held at camp after 3:30pm

HIGHLIGHTS ESF Aquatics Staff Our all-adult staff is made up of certified lifeguards and instructors who are trained to teach our program and adhere to impeccable safety protocols. We maintain a low staff to camper ratio.

Aquatics Director Seasoned leader who oversees the ESF swimming program as well as the overall quality and excellence in pool area.

Swim Levels ESF has established skill levels that campers progress through at their own pace.

Skill & Safety Testing Campers are tested on first day of camp for skill assessment and/or safety in deep water, depending on age and skill level.

Awards & Progress Reports Campers receive awards as they progress through each skill level. We provide updates on camper progress on a weekly basis or upon request, depending on age and skill level.


EXTEND YOUR DAY CLINICS AND WORKSHOPS

CLUB OT On a regular or a drop-in basis, start the day as early as 7:45am and stay as late as 6pm. Club OT campers are divided into groups by age and enjoy sports, games, crafts, chess, book club, drama, theater and much more. Afternoon snacks and refreshments provided. Flexible scheduling with no pre-payment or registration required. Billing is done twice a month by mail.

Once we receive and review your application, a confirmation/invoice will be mailed to verify your reservation(s). Balance is due by April 1, 2014. All applications sent after April 1, 2014 require full payment.

If you’d like to organize your own car pool, please check the appropriate box on the application. In May, interested parents will receive a contact list of other families in their town who are also interested in carpooling.

All important camp-related materials will be distributed at Camp Orientation which will take place in late May or early June. Your attendance is highly recommended to help make your child’s transition into camp as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Orientation dates and times will be mailed in May.

Health History Record For the health and safety of all campers, no child will be allowed to attend camp without a completed ESF Health History Record on file. After enrollment, this form will be mailed to you and must be returned prior to camp.

Optional Lunch Program Campers may bring their lunch and drink to camp which we refrigerate, or they can participate in our lunch program for an additional cost of $35/week. To sign up, please check the appropriate box on the application.

Refreshments & Snacks Campers are provided with a snack and juice each day. Water coolers and fountains are easily accessible to campers throughout the day.

HOW TO ENROLL Please complete both sides of this application, sign the form, and mail it with full payment or a $300 deposit per camper to the mailing address above. Space is limited. Applications will be accepted at any time, on a first-come, first-served basis and enrollment is determined by postmark date. If you need an additional application, you may photocopy the attached form or call us and we will send you another. Applications will not be accepted by fax. The balance of the tuition is due by April 1, 2014. FAMILY, GROUP & REFERRAL DISCOUNTS A 5% Family Discount is given to families enrolling 2 or more children. This discount applies to each child after the first in your immediate family. (The first child is the camper with the higher tuition.) Our 5% Group Discount allows you and your friends to receive a 5% discount off camp tuition. All you need to do is send 3 or more applications in the same envelope! For families enrolling online, call our office and we will assist you. (Please note: Family and Group Discounts are separate and may not be combined.) OPTIONAL LUNCH PROGRAM Campers may bring their own lunch & beverage to camp (which we refrigerate), or they may participate in our optional lunch program for an additional $35 per week by checking the appropriate box above. CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2014 If you need to cancel your child’s enrollment in camp, you must notify us in writing by April 1, 2014 in order to receive a refund. Cancellations on or prior to this date are subject to a $50 processing fee per child. No refunds will be given out after April 1, 2014 regardless of your registration date. Changes in enrolled weeks are based on availability and must also be made on or before the April 1, 2014 deadline. GROUPING REQUESTS Campers are grouped according to age and grade level. If you would like your child grouped with a specific friend, please write his/ her name and home phone number on this application. Campers MUST be entering the same grade next fall.

PLEASE READ AND SIGN BELOW: On behalf of my child, I accept any and all risks associated with his/her attendance and participation in the camp and its activities. I understand that my child should not attend the camp if he/she is not healthy. I understand that my child must abide by camp policies and the instructions of the camp staff. I agree that should my child be dismissed from camp for any reason, no part of my tuition will be refunded. I understand that no reduction in the tuition will be made for late arrival, early departure, vacations, illness or injury. In the event that I cannot be contacted in an emergency, I hereby grant ESF, Inc. (ESF) permission to give immediate treatment and/or take my child to a hospital emergency room. Permission is hereby granted for photographs and/or videos to be taken of my child at camp and ESF has the right to utilize these in our brochures, videos, slide shows, web site, and other camp materials. Permission is also granted for my child (if enrolled in Sports Camp and Senior Camp) to attend all scheduled field trips. Knowing these facts and in consideration for your accepting my child’s application, I, for myself, my child attending the camp, and anyone else who might claim on my or my child’s behalf (“I”), hereby agree that neither ESF nor Montgomery School are responsible for any and all accidents, injuries, and/or medical or dental expenses arising from my child’s participation in the camp and, accordingly, I covenant not to sue, and waive, release and discharge ESF, Montgomery School, and anyone working on their behalf from any and all claims of liability or expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever arising out of or relating to my child’s participation in the camp.
