ESF’s Leadership Development Program The Young Leaders Program The Young Leaders Program (YLP) is an exclusive “counselor apprenticeship” initiative for 16 and 17 year-old alumni campers and was launched in 2006 at Dream Camp Philadelphia. It was so successful that we expanded YLP to all our ESF locations. Site Directors nominate former campers who demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to community. Candidates then undergo an intensive interview process to qualify. Under the guidance and supervision of ESF leaders, YLP  participants undergo extraordinary personal and professional growth.
