Advantages versus disadvantages Rope operated machines:
Hydraulic jib machines:
For a wide number of intakes due to the Intakes with difficult laying debris greater cleaning performance For narrow deck area
For extreme compacted floating debris
For intakes with inclination larger than 8 degree angle
For decks with sufficient space for rotating
On existing rail tracks
For rack inclination up to vertical
For deep intakes
Cleaning depth smaller than 32 m Deck with sufficient structure due to the forces on the rail system

Parameterisation The question is : „Why do we have to parameterise the modell?“ The answer is : In a nonparametric modeller, the geometry drives the dimension; in a parametric modeller, the dimension drives the geometry. Simulation The simulation was done with CosmosMotionŠ, which is a part of the SolidWorksŠ package, to simulate the Motion, Forces and Moments of an Assembly. Actually the tool is not fully developed for that application so that we had some bigger troubles to do the simulation.

Simulation Out of this simulation we can get for example the bending moments of the shaft.
