THE INTERNATIONAL BULGARIAN ERASMUS TRIP This is one of the most amazing trips and cities you can ever see and experience. One city on two continents, unique with its cultures, different civilizations and religions. You can experience ancient Byzantium also the Ottoman empire and the modern Ataturk culture in Turkey. Istanbul is also a meeting point for many Erasmus who decided to experience its diverse spirit.
Programme 22.04.Wednesday 23:00h – Departure from Sofia (the parking behind the Alexander Nevski cathedral) 12:30h – Passing through Plovdiv (if somebody wants to catch the bus from here just let us know 1 week before) 05:00h – Crossing the Bulgarian-Turkish border
Programme 23.04.Thursday 10:00h – arrival in the hotel 15:00h – Tour of the old city and the historical center. Orientation in the city. Visiting the most famous mosque “Sultanahmet” – the Blue mosque; the Hypodrum, the Obelisk. We will pass the Galata bridge. 18:00h – Organized tour with a ship around the Bosphorus (5 eu) 21:30h – Meeting in front of the hotel! Erasmus party with local ESN and Erasmus students in Istanbul
Programme 24.04.Friday 09:00h - Breakfast 10:00h – Meeting in front of the hotel. Visit of Topkapi national palace of the Ottoman empire ( around 10 eU); Saint Sophia cathedral , the water thank Yerebatan (7 eu) 13:00h - Free time – possibility to visit one more time the Grand bazaar, or the quarter of the rich people – Taksim. 22:00h – Meeting in ront of the hotel and party night 01:00h – The night just starts… and our PARTY as well
Programme 25.04.saturday 09:00h - Breakfast 09:30h – Visit the new palace Dolma Bahche (Inform us the previous day) 10:00h – Visiting of the Prince Islands (3 euros by boat) – it is a 7 hours trip in the Marmara see Otherwise - Free afternoon! **If you want you can have a night show with Turkish program around 35 euros with dinner and special Turkish night program with music and traditional dances. Possibility to do it on a boat if we are 30 people.
22:00h – Meeting in front of the hotel Istanbul never sleeps!! Our Turkish ESN friends will show us some nice places in Istanbul.
Programme 26.04.Sunday
09:00h – Breakfast. 11:30h – Departure from the hotel. 14:30h – Visit of Odrin – one of the biggest cities in European Turkey. 16:30h – Departure for Bulgaria 21:00h – Arrival in Plovdiv (if you want we can leave somebody also here) 23:00h – Arrival in Sofia
price PRICE is 250 leva with ESN card and 265 leva without ESN card. The price includes: 1. A bus 3 * with TV and video 2. Hotel 3*, 3 nights in the hotel with breakfast 3. Bus and tourist insurance for 5000 euro coverage 4. Visit of the old city and a tourist walk through Istanbul and Grand Bazaar The price does NOT include: 1. Museum taxes – around 20 euros maximum (check the prices above they are stated in the program) 2. Travel with a boat in the Bosphorus (5 euros) 3. Prince Islands – (4 euros) 4. Turkish night live show – 30-35 euros (if you wish)
how to apply and pay If you want to come you need to give the 100 leva deposit till the 31/03/2015! Search for more info in the event or through your local section. If you are not from Sofia, please contact your local ESN section or write a mail to Horhe or call him! The rest of the money should be given till the 10th of April!
VISA INFORMATION: Some citizens of EU do not need visa.
