A CELEBRATION OF ONE-OF-A-KIND BEAUTY The history of NARS is not unique but that doesn’t make it any less fascinating. How many brands (think Natasha Denona, Charlotte Tilbury, or Anastasia Beverly Hills) were launched by beauticians who couldn’t quite find the products they dreamed of using? The world’s great makeup artists have all shared a talent for combining colours and an ability to define characteristics of products beauty consumers crave – from ultra high-covesrage foundations to long-lasting lipsticks and eyeshadows. NARS is no different in this sense and although it is known for many things, one of its biggest claims to fame is the quality of its foundations, which strike the perfect balance between coverage and natural radiance. PAYING LIP SERVICE NARS was founded in 1994 by French artist, François Nars, who honed his craft at the Carita Makeup School in Paris. He was obsessed with colour, purity, and texture and decided to release a small collection of just 12 lipsticks. They were a big hit, prompting the brand to

amplify its range with a selection of high-fashion, luxury items that can be used for everyday and sophisticated events alike. In the year 2000, Shiseido Cosmetics acquired NARS, launching a further company, NARSskin, in 2002. Today, the brand is present in 37 countries across the globe.
