What does delegate means? Entrust a task to someone Authorize someone to run a task
The ability to find a win – win deal!!!
Effective Delegation
S.M.A.R.T. Specific : define the task/ who is right person for this? why? Measurable: the expected result/ how to measure the success of the task? Agreed: agree on the deadline, the report date, the final deadline/ the support- supervision from LCEB... Realistic : whether that person are capable enough to do the task? what info/materials he needs? Timebound: process/ deadline
Steps of Succesful Delegation 1. Define the task
6. State required results
7. Delegate, then trust
2. Find the right person
5. Consider resources required
8. Support and Communicate
3. Explain the reasons
4. Agree deadlines
9. Feedback on results
