ONLINE LEARNING

AVT is one of only a few institutions in Australia that offer all three study modes to suit your individual preferences.

Pre-organised Work Placement A critical part of your veterinary nursing studies is the workplace training required at a veterinary hospital. The good news is, if you have chosen to study with AVT, we will pre-organise your work placement if you are based in Perth, Western Australia. As the longest established dedicated veterinary nursing school in Australia, we have been working with veterinary hospitals over many years and have developed long standing relationships with a large number of leading practices. This means you will have complete peace of mind knowing you will be placed in a reputable veterinary clinic that will oer a safe and supportive environment. It also means you do not have to be concerned about the difficult task of approaching numerous veterinary businesses to find your own work placement. If you have chosen the online study option and live outside of the Perth metropolitan area, we will provide you with an information pack on finding a veterinary clinic for your work placement.

“After commencing my Certificate IV in Vet Nursing with AVT I secured paid employment within a month at my pre-arranged work placement clinic. I have already started applying the practical skills I am learning during my course. “ Meg Dean– Certificate IV Vet Nursing Student 2017 (not pictured)
