Estonian Atlantic Treaty Association

Founded in 2001 in Tallinn, EATA is a non-profit NGO uniting over 200 members that share a common goal of supporting Estonia’s NATO membership. EATA promotes democratic values and active citizens’ initiative and considers informing and educating Estonian society on NATO to be its main purpose. EATA is an organisation of communication – by generating open public discussion about defence and security policy, we aim to provide a forum for citizens to have a say about Estonia’s defence and security issues. Our mission is to: (I) foster a broader understanding of the Alliance; (II)consolidate the collaboration of the government and the third sector; (III) promote international peace and stability and share Estonia’s experience of Euro-Atlantic integration with NATO partner countries; (IV) support cross-ethnic integration and understanding in Estonian society.
