A passionate affection

The frozen continent, Antarctica, has provided great inspiration for Montréal’s Valmar Kurol. He puts his feelings into gorgeous music and every new CD is greeted with anticipation, the knowledge that one is in for both a contemplative experience as well as one of almost unbridled joy.

Such is certainly the case with Kurol’s latest CD, again in collaboration with musician Michel Stibor. Released in August, also having arrived in Toronto at the same time, it has been a constant disc in our player. Words to describe, certainly laud the recording have been hard to come by, hopefully considering our stressful times this is understandable.
