Millsaps held a 4-3 advantage in the all-time series between the two teams, though ETBU had won the last two meetings. With a win in this game, ETBU would even the all-time series at four a piece. Kia Jelley scored her fifth goal of the season in the 18th minute of the game with a header off the corner, assisted by Natalie Torres. With that goal she has already tied Christina Robles’ 2013 team high of five goals. Alexis Smith sealed the win with a goal of her own in the 84th minute off a cross to deflection. She was assisted by Samantha Rios.
