The HNC is very relatable to my role as a process operator apprentice at SABIC. I experience the practical elements at work and then I learn the science behind it all at college. The heat transfer and fluid mechanics modules have been very beneficial to me and have improved my understanding and ability in the workplace!
Alex, process operator appren tice at SABIC, is st udying HNC Che m ical Engineering at Redcar and Cle veland College, alongs ide his apprentic eship.
Ben, Electrical Service Techni cian at Dale Power Sol utions, studied the higher apprentic eship in electrica l and electronic en gineering at Redcar and Cle veland College. CLICK HERE to read Ben’s full Q&A session online!
Whilst studying at the College, I have been given more responsibilities in my role at work and I’m constantly applying my knowledge and skills in the workplace. I’m gaining the desired understanding and mouldable attributes that an employer is looking for and the higher apprenticeship is aiding my natural progression.
