Students have a fantastic opportunity to combine playing competitive football alongside their studies with our Football Academy.

The Academy, which runs in partnership with Whitby Town Football Club, provides talented young footballers with the chance to build skills whilst studying a full-time course.

Academy students will participate in coaching sessions, take part in competitive football matches and strength and conditioning training. Free access to the College’s gym is also provided. With our newly opened FIFA standard 3G football pitch, as well as our Sports Centre, which includes a four court sports hall, fitness centre, functional training rooms and changing facilities, there has never been a better time to get involved.

Students can choose the Football Academy alongside the following full-time courses: • Level 3 courses in Sports Coaching, Sports

Science, Public Services, Policing or Engineering • Level 2 courses in Sports Coaching, Public

Services, Policing, Electrical Installation or

Plumbing and Heating

“The hope is to further develop talented players, creating opportunities to join first team training sessions with the end goal ultimately being inclusion in the first team squad and the beginning of a career in semi-professional football.”

“Having previously been involved with college football myself, I am aware of the high standard of players who have not been able to progress into professional football, however I believe that with the right attitude and dedication, along with continued education, many exciting opportunities in both semi-professional and professional football can be achieved.”
