How To Apply

We offer a range of vocational courses from entry level 1 through to level 3. The level of course you study will depend on your previous qualifications and achievements. Apprenticeships are also available from level 2. Qualifications are offered by different examination boards at different levels, which represent a standard of learning. Qualifications at the same level are broadly comparable but content, purpose, duration and amount of study may vary.

ENTRY LEVEL

Entry level courses offer a basic understanding of a subject area, help you to enhance your career prospects and improve your English and maths skills. You do not require any formal qualifications for these courses but will be required to attend an interview with a course tutor.*

LEVEL 1

Level 1 courses are practical and prepare you with skills for a specific career. You will gain a wide range of background knowledge in your chosen subject. If you have not achieved a GCSE grade 4 in English or maths you will study for these qualifications alongside your course. You will typically require 4 GCSEs grade 2 or an entry level qualification in a related course to enrol on to a level 1 course.*

LEVEL 2

Level 2 courses provide you with the skills you need for a specific career. You will start to specialise in the areas you find interesting, but are still broad enough to give you a wide range of progression opportunities if you are not sure what you would like to do in the future. You will typically require 4 GCSEs grade 3 or a level 1 qualification in a related course to enrol on to a level 2 course.*

LEVEL 3

Level 3 courses offer you specialised and advanced learning which give you the skills and knowledge to progress directly into employment or university level courses on completion. These courses will also include a work experience placement to prepare you for employment. You will typically require 4 GCSEs grade 4 or a level 2 qualification in a related course to enrol on to a level 3 course.* Courses with a high practical content may require you to start at level 1 or 2 as you will need to build skills on these courses.

PAYING FOR YOUR COURSE FEES

If you are under the age of 19 at the start of your course there should be no fees to pay. If you are aged 19 or above speak to our Admissions Team about fees, repayment and student loan opportunities.
