Beauty Therapy
Whether you want to work in a high street salon, run your own beauty business or travel the world offering treatments on a cruise ship, completing a beauty therapy course with us can help get you there. These courses will provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours in the most up to date beauty therapy treatments whilst also developing your customer service skills.
LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN HAIR AND BEAUTY
1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Our level 1 course will provide you with introductory skills in hair and beauty and covers topics such as shampooing and conditioning hair, blow drying and plaiting hair along with basic makeup application, hand and nail care and nail art.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?
Two GCSEs grade 3 or above including English and maths or an entry level qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
You could progress on to one our level 2 courses in hairdressing, hair and media makeup or beauty therapy or look to secure an apprenticeship.
LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN BEAUTY THERAPY
1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
This course will combine both practical and theory sessions to develop skills, knowledge and behaviours in client care, providing facials, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, waxing, manicure and pedicure treatments, nail art and salon reception duties. You will undertake practical sessions within our industry standard training salons, as well as providing treatments to customers in our onsite Mosaic beauty salon.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?
Four GCSEs grade 3 or above or a level 1 qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Develop your skills further by completing our Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or secure an apprenticeship.
LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN BEAUTY THERAPY
1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
This course will build upon existing skills developed at level 2, and you will learn new techniques such as self-tanning, Swedish massage therapy, hot stone massage, Indian head massage and preblended aromatherapy along with client customer service skills.
YOU GRADES DO I NEED:
Four GCSEs grade 4 or above including English and maths and a level 2 qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
After you have completed this course you could progress into employment in a range of beauty therapy related roles where you could work in a salon, on a cruise ship or even running your own business.
