LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Course length: 1 year
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
This course will teach you basic skills in computing and IT including hardware and software installation, website development, programming and solving technical IT problems. You will learn in our modern and well-equipped digital suites.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?
3 GCSEs grade 2/E or above or an entry level qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
On completion of this course you could progress on to our level 2 computing and IT courses.
LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS IT
Course length: 1 year
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
During this course you will learn through practical sessions and group work covering a range of exciting topics such as website development, multimedia and design software, presentation software, word processing, spreadsheets and techniques for improving productivity using IT.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?
3 GCSEs grade 3/D or above or a level 1 qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
On completion of this course you could progress on to our Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT course or you could look to secure an apprenticeship.
LEVEL 2 TECHNICAL DIPLOMA IN IT
Course length: 1 year
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
On this exciting new course you will learn developing IT skills such as cyber security, data analytics and project development. As well as hardware and software installation. You will gain strong industry experience by working with local businesses on technical IT issues and create solutions.

3 GCSEs grade 3/D or above or a level 1 qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
On completion of this course you could progress on to our Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT course or you could look to secure an apprenticeship.
LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN IT
Course length: 2 years
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You will learn about how systems are analysed, created, developed and kept secure by using IT software and hardware. This course will also allow you to explore the different techniques used to produce analytical systems, web pages and games to gain practical skills. You will work with local businesses on IT projects to develop industry experience.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?
4 GCSEs grade 4/C or above including English and maths or a level 2 qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
After completing this course you could look to secure a higher apprenticeship, progress into higher education to study a computing, IT or computer science related degree or enter employment.
