In the digital age, we are spending more and more time online. There is a growing need for people who have the relevant skills to produce content to inform and entertain the public in the digital marketplace. Working in the creative media industry is an exciting and vibrant career choice, with a range of roles in everything from web design through to content writing.

LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN CREATIVE MEDIA

Course length: 1 year

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This introductory course will teach you a range of basic skills ready for a career in the creative industry. You will learn about professional standards, the expectations of the industry, conceptual understanding of the uses of creative media and how to apply media practice to express your ideas to a range of audiences. You will also complete a work placement and 4 GCSEs grade C/4 including English and maths

LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN CREATIVE MEDIA

Course length: 1 year

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This course will teach you a range of in demand skills such as photography, digital graphics, and website design, print publishing and videography. You will undertake a range of exciting projects throughout the course that are based on realistic workplace situations using specialist software.

on to our Level 1 Diploma in Creative Media. secure an apprenticeship, enter employment or progress on to a related level 3 course.

If you don't already have a GCSE grade 9-4/A*-C, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main programme of study.

LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN DIGITAL MEDIA

Course length: 2 years

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This course will teach you the very latest digital skills such as photography for digital media products, comics and graphic novel storytelling, creating digital animations, 3D digital modelling, games development and graphic design and implementing social media campaigns for digital media products. You will also understand how interactive multimedia products are used and learn how to design, create and test an interactive product.

WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?

4 GCSEs grade 4/C or above or a level 2 qualification in a related course.

WHAT’S NEXT?

On completion of this course, you could look to secure an apprenticeship, progress on to a creative media related higher education course or enter employment.
