WHAT IS THE SKILLS FOR HEALTH PROJECT? Are you aged between 16 and 30 and looking for a career in the Health & Social Care sector? The Skills for Health & Social Care project can help you! The Skills for Health & Social Care project has been specifically designed to help young people aged between 16 and 30, gain meaningful employment in the Health & Social Care sector - across many job roles. With more than 350 careers available within the NHS and social care sector, there is a role for anybody looking to make a difference every day. Our Skills for Health team will help you identify roles within the sector that will allow
you to unlock your potential and secure your future employment goals. Whether you are just leaving education or you feel you have the transferable skills that could be utilised in a role that helps others, this project can mentor you through the process. The Skills for Health and Social Care project is a joint initiative between North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, Stockton Riverside College, Redcar and Cleveland College and Hartlepool College of Further Education and is supported by the Prince’s Trust. Our shared values and high standards mean that we have one simple goal, to help young people gain meaningful employment within the sector.

You will develop the knowledge and skills needed when working in a lead adult care worker role. We cover a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and procedures.
