Unconditional offer

Wow! Well done. This means you have already met our entry requirements so we will see you in September!

Conditional offer

This means you have been accepted to study here at Stockton Riverside College providing you achieve the required course entry requirements. If you do not achieve these grades, don’t worry! We will still have a course for you. Speak to our admissions team, who will chat to you about your options.

Referral

Don’t worry! All this means is that the course you applied for was unsuitable. The college will contact you to find a suitable alternative course.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Taster Evenings

Our taster evenings welcome students to our campus to take part in lessons and workshops with our amazing tutors and to have some fun. You can choose an area that you’re most interested in and spend the evening learning about your chosen subject. Look out for your invite to our March 2025 Taster Evening!

Welcome Day

Towards the end of the academic year, you will be invited to our annual Welcome Day at the College. This is the perfect chance to meet your future classmates, your new tutors, and make the transition from school to college that much easier!

The day will involve a fun and interactive taster session of the course you have applied for. You will also have the chance to participate in some games and activates throughout the day, where refreshments will be provided.

Enrolment

Enrolment for new students will begin in August 2025, You will be sent a letter confirming a date and time for you to attend the College to enrol. As part of the enrolment process, we ask students to complete some short BKSB tests. These are nothing to worry about, we are just checking if you need any extra help with your maths and English.

Don’t forget to bring with you your GCSE results and a form of ID.

General Information and Tips:

If you have applied for free meals and are waiting to hear from us, you will need to provide/pay for your own lunch until we have assessed your application.

• Financial evidence needs to be attached onto your application to be fully assessed and you can upload this directly to your application. If you have any problems please speak with the Bursary team.

• To provide further financial evidence after your Bursary application has been submitted, please click HERE

How to contact us:

• Please make sure that you attach all pages of documents and that all details can be seen clearly. For example, a universal Credit statement should show name and address, amount paid, how the payment is made and any deductions taken from it. If possible please use the print icon to save the statement into a PDF.

Please speak to a member of staff find us in the Student Support and Wellbeing hub located in room 220.

STEP 1

Apply online through the College website using the following link: CLICK HERE

STEP 2

You will need to first enter your student number and date of birth. When entering your student number, please replace the 0 at the start of the number for a capital B.

Please note: If you have not yet enrolled at College and do not have a student number, you will need to wait until you are given one by our Admissions team.

STEP 4

Please provide valid bank details when applying, as this will help us to speed up any payments due. This must be your own bank account.

Provide income/benefits evidence by following the instructions on the screen.

Please note: You can choose to submit an application without financial evidence, however this will not be fully assessed.

STEP 3

Make sure your personal details are correct and press Continue to proceed through the application, making sure you answer all questions.

To complete your application please read the declaration and sign with your name at the end, then press Continue. You will receive a thank you message at the end.

STEP 7

A member of the Bursary team will assess your application (or request further information) within 10 working days. Please wait to be contacted by email or letter. To make changes to your application, please use the following link: CLICK HERE

HOW TO FIND US...

Car - North/South

If you’re travelling by car from the north or south leave the A19 at the junction signposted Stockton/Darlington and A66. Exit the A66 at the Teesside Park/ Teesdale junction. At the junction at the top of the slip road, turn right at the traffic lights. Turn left at the roundabout, then go straight ahead at the next roundabout on to Princeton Drive. At the next roundabout turn right onto Harvard Avenue and find the college entrance on your right.

Car - East

Join the A66 Middlesbrough bypass and continue on to the A66 for three miles towards Darlington. Exit the A66 at the Teesside Park/Teesdale junction, then at the junction at the top of the slip road, turn right at the traffic lights. Turn left at the roundabout, then go straight ahead at the next roundabout onto Princeton Drive. At the next roundabout turn right onto Harvard Avenue and find the college entrance on your right.

Train

The nearest station is Thornaby, which receives services from Middlesbrough, Darlington and York. The college is a five minute walk from the station. For information about train times and fares please call National Rail Enquiries on 03457 484 950 or visit www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Bus

The college is well served by a number of local bus routes. Stockton High Street is a ten minute walk from the college. For more information on local bus routes and times visit www.traveline.info and www.connectteesvalley.com.

FREE BUS TRAVEL

FREE** Bus Pass for essential bus travel to your campus during term time. Please note there is a £5 administration charge per term for students travelling by bus.
