HOW WE WILL SUPPORT YOU
ENGLISH & MATHS
We take for granted how much we use English and maths skills every day, whether it is deciding what time we need to get up to make sure we arrive at college on time or speaking to a tutor about the course. These are things we do every day, often without even thinking about it. If you are under 19 when you start your programme there is a government requirement that you continue to work towards achieving GCSE English and maths, if you haven’t already gained grades 9-4/A*C. Here at NETA we know how important these skills are to your future success and this is why we are dedicated to supporting all of our students to develop their English and maths skills and pick up the qualifications to evidence this. If you do not already have an English and maths GCSE grade 9-4/A*-C, you will continue to work towards these qualifications as part of your main programme of study*. *Unless you are exempt. See condition of funding rules (Department for Education).
SAFEGUARDING
We have a safeguarding and welfare team with dedicated safeguarding roles at each site to prioritise your safety at all times. We can offer advice, support and ensure that help from other agencies external to NETA can be sought to enable the best outcomes for our students’ safety and overall well being. If you should feel unsafe or feel you need to access support we are here to make sure you are heard and safe at all times.
EQUALITY & DIVERSITY
We value the diversity of our community and promote inclusion for all. We make sure that all of our students receive the same provision and access to our services. We encourage a culture of respect and commit to tackling prejudice at all levels. By encouraging students and staff to share their own experiences, we aim to promote mutual understanding.
FREE DAILY USE OF IPADS, LAPTOPS, CAMERAS AND VIDEO CAMERAS Speak to our Student Services team about all of our latest offers and discounts! *Subject to change. Conditions may apply. **Subject to eligibility criteria. Please visit the Student Services section of our website for more information.
