Make reading fluency practice fun and rewarding

Student-recorded read-alouds give students a fun way to practice reading fluency because they can record themselves reading aloud on topics they’re excited about. Students can practice reading aloud on their own if the teacher is occupied with other activities or when they want to practice reading at home. In addition, teachers can listen to the recordings as an easy way to gain deeper insights into their students’ reading progress.

How it works:

Students can listen to the audiobook before they start recording.

Students can click on the Record button to start recording themselves reading aloud. When they finish recording, they can listen to their recording and have the option to rerecord it if they want to try again.

These high-interest, age-appropriate news articles written specifically for kids, report on timely topics and current events to help students develop a better understanding of the world. These engaging daily news articles can be added to your myON subscription or purchased separately.

Title recommendations from the myON library are paired with each article.

Articles can be read in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, or Mandarin and include optional audio support in each language.
