San Diego Latino Film Festival Twenty-seven years ago, Media Arts Center San Diego's San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) was born out of a desire to take a stand against the status-quo of cinema, to challenge the reigning and ever-present stereotypes about the Latino experience in movies, and to give Latino filmmakers the power of telling and sharing their stories, first-hand, about what it means to be Latino. After all of these years, the SDLFF is proud to remain linked to these ideals, constantly advocating for inclusive, diverse, and progressive cinematic storytelling about the Latino identity. We invite you and all other visionary filmmakers to be a part of our anniversary— 27 and still going strong! By supporting the San Diego Latino Film Festival, you are supporting the rise of independent Latino film making and their participation in the mainstream media arts. You will be part of an annual gathering of film lovers, producers, filmmakers, celebrities, journalists, a passionate community of artist and influencers. 11 days of films, live music, art, workshops, galas and engaging social events.
