CIVIL SERVICE STATUTE Excerpt CHAPTER VII Rights and duties Article 39. - The duties of public servants: a) Comply with the law and regulations and fulfill the obligations inherent in their positions. b) Save the necessary discretion on matters related to their work which by its nature or under special instructions require, even after they leave office, without prejudice to the obligation they are to report any criminal act under Article 147, paragraph 1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. c) Refuse gifts, gifts or rewards that are offered in return for acts inherent to their jobs. d) Observe dignity in the performance of their duties and their social life and e) Keep the public in their dealings with him, motivated by holding office or employment, all due consideration, so that does not originate justified complaint for bad service or attention.
