In n these harsh times of paranoia a anxiety, I’m opening and and c closing doors with the tips of m fingernails and tissue paper, my w wiping the computer keys and m drumsticks with alcohol swabs my co o constantly. I continue to play music and an d exercise on the rooftop of my and apar ap art rt apartment building. Meditation is a grrea eat ca great calming factor and waking up at rea ea 5am is reassuring because I can breathe before the rest of the day takes its toll. It all begins and culminates in the conviction that everything is going to be fine once we listen to the Earth’s strict final call to be compassionate towards it and to others. I’m coping well so far. My day revolves I’m around eating, sleeping, exercising, a playing music, reading, watching p videos, videoconferencing my wife v and a friends and spending time with my m mother. The biggest challenge th that we have not just as individuals butt as global citizens is to realise the magn magn ma magnitude of this pandemic and how rre esp spon onss on responsibly we need to curb its spread. are currently cu We are in the midst of this global crisis and if we live to see this through the entire economic and social landscape will evolve to a place which is currently uncertain but exciting at the same time. We should really mentally prepare ourselves for the current challenges at hand and many more to come at a personal, national and global level. The world is changing in front of our eyes and we are the chosen ones to witness this storm.

II’I’m m taking this time for selfr reflection. Prioritising family a self is vital. However, and t most pressing concern I the h have is one that I share with a all Pakistanis and that is the un uncertainty of the economy. Bus Businesses are forced to shut down and are unable to pay their employ employees in this time of need. I have taken the initiative to continue to pay my employees as long as I can in this global crisis. I can’t bear the thought of seeing my staff at home with no pay and facing both health and financial uncertainty. We need to come together as a society and lift ourselves through this crisis. Fe e and anxiety about this disease Fear h been overwhelming, but I’m has t trying to make the best of the s situation by staying safe and p positive. Starting with social d distancing and staying at home, I am ta taking care of my health by eating he ea healthy, working out and meditating. Cons Co n t Constantly hearing about the pandemic repeatte repeatedly can be upsetting, so taking brea ea aks from fro watching news and social media. breaks Keeping the kids busy and making sure they do not have excessive screen time is a challenge itself especially when they are home. Thank God for home schooling, they have their mornings busy. We have developed a routine where we involve them in house chores and physical activity around the house. Fear and worry about your own health and the health of your loved ones especially parents and older relatives are at the top of our concern. Really hoping for this to end soon so we can resume our daily life again and count our blessings which we have been taking for granted. Saira Rizwan Designer

Co Covid-19 is a harrowing story for f everyone, including myself as an anchor and m that’s also my challenge. My t organisation o has taken very s seriously its responsibility to o support employees during th his time and there are support this struc structures in place to ensure we do this effectively. I am determined on covering the stories for the to carry on public and will continue to do so for as long as it takes. The only request to public is to stay at their homes, and as long as everyone stays home, the graph will drop. There is no other way to cope with COVID-19 but social distancing.

N Now is the time to recognise the ssmallest of your blessings as well. E Even though the whole pandemic ssituation is devastating, I’ve been llucky enough to be quarantined w with close friends. We all wake up ea early, work out, cook, clean and get read re d to for the day ahead and stay ready p pr odu od u productive and positive throughout. We all a We are helping each other with our jobs jobs and a an n errands. We try and learn at least a new talent everyday and mostly it’s all a ruckus of laughter and goofing around. Staying cautious and not panicking is the key to surviving and powering through this. Zoya Nasir TV Actress

Be Being an anchor It is a great c challenge to deal with this p pandemic and also when e everyone around you is a anxious and on edge, the best w to stay healthy and help way th those in need around you is byy taking care of yourself. W We are staying inside for o our and others’ safety. It’s a d difficult time but this shall pass b by but I will take it as a gift ffrom Allah as I am spending a lot of time with my kids and wi wife which normally is difficult bec because of our hectic routine. Zahid K Khan Designer

I feel f the world has been reset b nature. This I realised while by b being in quarantine. We probably n needed to realise that being alone s sometimes is good, family needs to be given more time, material th things would not save life! Hina Hi a Ejaz TV V Ho ost Host

I’m a very structured person and e enjoy following a routine so rright now probably the biggest cchallenge is making sure that I try tto keep my routine as normal as p possible. It’s important for me to re remain on track, stay inspired and take this time to reflect on myself. I’m also al very concerned about my karigars who are daily wage earners and to this end I am working to start a fund for them, my team will also be allocating a percentage of profits from orders placed online during this period to those most affected.
