Control Room Health Dept Govt. of Balochistan operational 24/7 for any kind of information & coordination regarding COVID-19 activities in Balochistan. 081-9202080, 1166. The numbers of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Balochistan has risen to 432 with 56 new cases including overall 05 death (CFR 1.11). The active cases are 273 in province. Sibi (01) and Killabdullah (5) district reported positive cases of local transmission and total numbers are 06. 0ut of 432, 65% (284) cases are local transmission from Quetta (223), Chagai (11) Lorlai (06), Jaffarabad (16), Khuzdar (01) , Mastung (10), Kharan (02) Pishin (08), Killabdullah (05), Sibi (01) and Harnai (01). 02 positive cases (Home quarantine) came negative and completely revered. Total recover is 144 in Balochistan. IPH Quetta and WHO are working on capacity building of doctors, nurses and paramedics on IPC and case management of COVID-19. Trainings of facilitators and health staff of SKBZ hospital, BMCH, SPH, Helper Hospital and private hospitals is completed. Training of district master trainers at divisional level is under progress and will be completed during next week. PHD with the support of WHO has completed assessment of IPC status in all 06 hospitals of Quetta. Gaps are identified and IPC improvement plan is under development, which will be implemented through department of health.

Surveillance / Rapid Response Team / PDSRU: • • •

Provincial RRT screened 12 Persons and took 8 lab samples of suspected persons at Quetta, and in addition facilitated Operational cell for compiling the requisite COVID-19 proformas. COVID-19 positive cases Trend analysis for Districts Quetta, Mastung, Jaffarabad and sibi done and shared. The Isolation Protocols and guidelines shared with newly reported COVID-19 positive cases of Quetta, Mastung.,Jaffarabad and Sibi Districts. PEO-Kharan did active corona case search at DHQ HOSPITAL, Imdad Clinic, Mohan Clinic, Al Muzammil Hospital, Azlan Clinic and Mid City Hospital. He also gave COVID-19 orientation at DHO Office, M&CH Hall Kharan and DHQ Hospital Quarantine center to 76 persons with 5 sessions. Polio team did active corona search at RHC Mena Bazar. He also gave COVID-19 orientation at Kili Hazrat sab to 24 community members.

Local transmission of cases in Balochistan: 0ut of 432, 65% (284) cases are local transmission from Quetta (223), Chagai (11) Lorlai (06), Jaffarabad (16), Khuzdar (01) , Mastung (10), Kharan (02) Pishin (08), Killabdullah (05), Sibi (01) and Harnai (01). Now that the new coronavirus / COVID-19, the illness it causes, are spreading among communities in Quetta and other part of the province. Due to high number of local transmission cases the community strongly follow the DoH instructions and stay home to avoid positive contact and do social distancing if meet some one new or go outside.
